"It was a bit of an adventure finding Hotel Pacifica after a long day of travel, given it is located on the far side of the river with no obvious way to cross, but after asking directions from another "gringo" we found our way across the foot bridge. 10/10 Excellent

"Recommend the Elite Club! It was nice to have access to the features. We have stayed at other resorts that dont lock some of the features behind a paywall, but honestly they usually charge more and it doesnt cover quite as much extra stuff. For example, Elite club allows you to get room service of a larger selection. Most other places I stay dont restrict room service for normal guests. That said, the other things like priority restaurant booking, elite club bar, and gazebos make it worth it. Just spend the extra money for it... its worth it. We decided to spend the extra for our 10 year anniversary and I dont think Ill go back without getting Elite Club."

"We have stayed at Tropicana Hotel frequently over the last twenty years during vacations to Puerto Vallarta. The location is amazing, but the hotel is showing signs of aging. Tiles are missing from the pools. Prices per room are much higher, and the food service is just adequate. Considering the hotel is charging 40% higher prices than last time we were here, it seems like a good time to consider 3-star alternatives."

"This place is in a great location downtown. The only downfall is that it’s rather small and it’s kid friendly so you will be woken up by screaming kids every morning. However, the food and service was amazing, rooms clean and the bed was very comfortable. I will definitely be back to PV but might try an adults only stay."
