A charming, heritage-listed boutique hotel just off Queenscliff's main drag with exceptionally friendly staff, terrific breakfast choices included in room-rate and shared guest lounge plus open verandahs. We've stayed more than once---an atmospheric beach-side gem.

Amazing stay overall. Charming place with lots of character. Fabulous breakfasts. Recommend a WiFi range extender to make sure all rooms are fully covered. Highly recommended.

I had a wonderful stay and would return. Emma was very friendly and helpful. The breakfast was delicious. The room was just what I wanted and very clean. A welcoming atmosphere, lovely building and surroundings. The location was perfect.

A pleasant stay at Athelstane House

The room #2, was clean and spacious with a private balcony accessed from the room. The breakfast was excellent served by friendly staff with access to outside tables if you prefer rather than to staying inside the breakfast room. The only mild criticism was that the bed was too soft for us as we are used to a much firmer bed.

We enjoyed our stay very much and will stay again in the future. I still have trouble with self check IN and self check OUT , maybe this is the future with labour costs rising ect. What a pity!

We loved the large spacious clean room with the access to sit on the balcony to have a wine and read a book very peaceful and quiet. Breakfast was amazing and choice was very suited to our requirements. Highly recommend and the staff could not be more helpful.

The property was a great location for easy access to the beach, very central to the town, The breakfast options and experience were great. Access and parking were easy to find and follow. The room and facilities were very comfortable with a great view from the balcony. Possible improve, the library books and range of magazines could be updated and fresh fruit, with the tea and coffee would be nice.
