"No hot water, big reason for low rating. Lowest toilet ever, not built for 6ft adult. No grab bar near this low toilet, likely the reason for the broken towel bar/ now an adequate towel hook.... towels for smaller folks. No coffee in room, basic gratuity, sure everything may have been available, with exception to hot water, but price was best available at last minute. Easy access to this ancient property. "

"Overall it was a really nice stay, we didn’t spend much time in here aside to sleep. Some of the reviews scared me saying it was a scam, dirty, etc.. but i didn’t think that at all. Our room was super clean, renovated, staff were friendly, provided towels, so on and so on. I think the only thing for me was the bed frame is like springs it’s a bit squeaky but nothing crazy. Overall, we would stay here again! Close to stores, food, freeway, it’s also in a very nice area! "

"Home was perfect for our family gathering, beds were comfortable, we enjoyed the spa, kitchen was adequately supplied with appliances, dishes, and utensils. We also enjoyed the pool table.The home was conveniently located near where our son lives and a reasonable distance from San Diego. We appreciated the nice neighborhood as well.The owner responded promptly to our questions and concerns.We did have some small issues:Some of the outdoor lights overlooking the pool area did not work.The tv in the downstairs master bedroom did not work.The home is very sparsely furnished.There were no comfortable chairs in master bedrooms for reading quietly or putting on shoes.Sofas were nice but no individual chairs in living room.Additional artwork and decor on shelves would make the home more attractive.Dressers were small and used as nightstands in some bedrooms.Regular nightstands with table lamps would have been more convenient.We know the owner purchased the property within the last year or so and is probably in the process of acquiring more furnishings and updating the window treatments.Overall, we were happy with our choices and wish the owner success as a vrbo owner."

"This place was a little piece of paradise everything you need. Phil and Kristina are very accommodating hosts met all our needs. Shopping , restaurants, and sights close or within 30 minutes. We were impressed. "

"This home was perfect for our stay! Great layout for us (3 adult siblings) with 3 bedrooms and bathrooms. It was VERY clean and the beds were comfortable. There is a really nice view from the balcony. It was rainy while there so we didn't enjoy it as much as we would have liked but..next time. We appreciated all of the little extras. The host clearly went out of their way to create a warm, inviting space. Communication with the host was great and check in was easy. We travel to the area once or twice a year to visit family and we look forward to renting again on future visits!"

"I had an issue w/ communication. The Host was responsive, but unprofessional in responses. Host did not disclose doorbell camera at the front door monitoring my comings/goings in her listing. I wouldn't have rented if it was disclosed. This made me uncomfortable. I figured the camera must've been there for security purposes when no one is renting. This has been disclosed in other rentals. I covered the camera not thinking it would be an issue. Host was upset w/ me when she asked me about the obstruction on the camera. I did not argue. I removed it upon her request. but did tell her I felt it should've been disclosed in her listing. She told me it was disclosed & said I must've missed it. She told me if I didn't like it, I could leave & stay at a hotel that has cameras too. This is a violation of rental rules. I reported it & the disclosure is now there.*My teenage son accidentally broke one of the steps on a bunk bed in one of the rooms while climbing up to the top bunk. I let Host know what happened & she told me my son shouldn't have been up there in the first place. There were no restrictions noted. She said she'd get an estimate & send it to me. I reminded her I purchased property ins. I later received an email from the ins. co. for a claim for the broken step, which I have no problem with, but also a plumbing issue. I did notify Host of a loose handle in one shower that was an issue when I checked in & had to wait for the plumber to fix the leaking water/loose handle."

"The pictures don't do it justice. This home was so much better in person. The host was on top of any and all concerns we had. There were only two downfalls to this place. First is the fact that the jacuzzi is controlled by an app you have to download and it takes awhile to get warm. And the second is the fact that you eventually have to check out and go home. My family completely enjoyed this place. We would love to come back in the future. "

"Since the moment we checked in it was one thing after another that seemed to go wrong. These hosts only care about money. Do not stay here without some confirmations of fixed issues first! Or just don’t even bother. The pool and hot tub were not on when we arrived and was filled with many rocks and debris and wet wipes? The pool was overflowing into hot tub and it should be the other way. Both the pool and hot tub temp was 59 degrees. The host was very rude with me over the phone when I told them about the pool and hot tub, they were not answering on the app so I had to call them. They said they would send someone tomorrow first thing in the am. I at that point asked for a partial refund since the amenities were not working, she told me I could leave now and get one night refunded (I booked for 2 nights). I told her that was not possible so last minute and we would like to have it fixed please. The pool guy came the next day when we were not there and got the rocks out and wet wipes and had finally turned on the pumps and heater, they didn’t however pump out the excess water. Again only staying 2 nights no way that would have heated up anytime soon. I don’t think they have the pool serviced regularly and definitely not in between each guests.The tv didn’t work in the living room and the fridge/freezer also was not working. We had to throw away all our food. We left early and still didn’t get a refund and am still working on a case with vrbo. Our trip was the end of dec."
