"The staff were all really happy and very friendly helpful on the check in desk.The bar had a nice feeling about it, again the staff were all lovely and happy to serve whatever cocktail we wanted. The main entrance and bar were well cared for and maintained,and our room was clean and large, we had a great view of the sea. The hotel was a couple of minutes walk from Leas Cliff Hall, and a picturesque walk into Folkestone high street, all very easy to get to,well situated.we got there by train,which was again easy to get to."

"Free upgrade nice room for price I went to the Carlton hotel and had to leave disgusting hotel and Expedia shouldn’t be offering that hotel HMO, I had to book this place last minute staff were nice and helpful I will probably use again when am heading over to Europe "

"Very small room. Old building that needs a lot of money to upgrade it. The staff changed our room from 2nd floor to a ground floor room due to a disability- so they were very helpful. There was free parking, a bar, restaurant ( continental breakfast) and plenty of original building features. The beds were clean and we had plenty of fresh towels. Good facilities for the price. "

"This hotel was in a great location (a 10 - 15 minute walk along the beach to the Harbour Arm) and was a delight all round. The rooms were clean and comfortable, and the breakfast was a real highlight. "

"Staff friendly and helpful. Breakfast was continental but good selection and plenty of. Stayed in premium double room, which was clean but nothing was premium unfortunately. Flat pillows need throwing, bed you can feel the springs, furniture handles falling off when opening draws, shower towel rails broken, shower had no pressure just trickling out and running down the head. Furniture needs updating or fixing."

"Having seen other reviews, we were pleasantly surprised to see that whilst the main areas of the hotel look a little outdated and in need of renovation, our room was clean and we were given a sea-view room. However, the toilet did not flush at all and the shower did not work; we only discovered this as we were getting ready for check out. There also appeared to be a potential asbestos risk with the flaking textured coating on the ceiling of the wardrobe with cracks in the ceiling and dust and debris on the shelf."

"We had a lovely stay for one night, it is the perfect location, making it easy to walk everywhere. We had everything we needed. We had a sea view, but unfortunately, it was covered with scaffolding, which was disappointing! The breakfast was really nice, and you had plenty of choices to pick from. "
