Our home contains 3 large luxury bedrooms c/w queen size beds & en-suite, 1 regular bedroom c/w 2 twin beds. Optional foldable high density foam beds can be added to any of the large rooms. Your comfort and convenience during your stay are definitely well taken care of with 3 full bathrooms. Big screen TV, DVD player with movies, and in house Wifi Internet are available for you to stay connected during your vacation. Our fully-equipped chef inspired kitchen is ready to satisfy any of your cooking needs. Fantastic family vacation home!

Perfect for a a big family ! The pool, the patio and the rocky beach! What more could a family want to unwind! This is our second year staying here and we absolutely love it! A spacious, quiet and comfortable stay! We’ll be back!

Wonderful Vacation

Pierre and Alex were wonderful hosts, allowed us to enter the property early on the day of check in and the house was stocked well with everything we needed. Qualicum Landing is a great location. Really enjoyed our Spring Break in their beautiful home.

The place worked wonderfully for our needs. Loved the beach at low tide. Pool was a nice treat for kids and adults. Property was clean. It could used a bit more and better seating in the living room. The outdoor patio set is a bit tired too.

Lovely spot

House was clean and well stocked. A beautiful place. We spent tons of time at the pool and exploring Qualicum. Hosts were easy to get a hold of and very helpful. I highly recommend this house. Only downside was the upstairs twin beds were too hard. Kids had terrible sleeps. With proper mattresses or thick foam toppers it would be great.

Summer get away with family

great location - lovely big clean house plenty of bathrooms to accommodate all 7 of us. Its a gated community which feels quite and safe and clean - my kids loved the communal pool and hot tub and there's also a pool table - the rest of us loved the sunset ocean views from the beach which is a short 2 min walk within the complex. local area has plenty of attractions including fantastic sandy beaches at little qualicum and qualicum beach. would stay again

Gathering in QB

This gorgeous home in Qualicum was the perfect fit for four families to gather. Lots of room and comfortable common spaces. Kitchen was well stocked/equipped, back patio had BBQ and lots of room to eat and relax. The pool was a 2 minute walk away and the beach 5 minutes, awesome spot for kids!

Great relaxing getaway!

The house was great to stay in. Wonderful rooms with comfortable beds. There were many bathrooms and quality linens. Not enough glassware, but had a good variety of cookware. Enjoyed using the pool and walking to the beach. The beach was very rocky but normal for the area. Lots to do , but you do need to drive to most things. Would stay here again as the accommodation was great and location was quiet.

Very nice house near the beach

The house is very tastefully decorated and has everything you need. We really enjoyed the days in the quiet surroundings. I could move perfectly with the wheelchair on the lower floor and the bedroom and shower were just perfect. The only blemishes are the step about 25 cm high into the house and onto the seating area, as well as the very used condition of the grill. Thank you very much for letting us use a fiew days the beautiful house.

Great family location

Great for families. Beach front is somewhat rocky but children enjoyed playing there, turning over rocks to see what was living under them. Less than 5 minutes drive north to sunnybeach public access to great sandy beach. The swimming pool in the complex is only a few steps from the unit. Lots of opportunities for Forrest walks nearby. Spider lake and horn lake are fun. A challenging executive golf course, Arrowsmithh, is 5 minutes away.

Family vacation 2024

This was our fifth year in a row using VRBO for a family vacation with our grown children, their partners, and our granddaughter. We were very excited to return to Vancouver Island to explore all the gorgeous beaches and parks. We picked this location as it was close to all the places we wanted to go. Communication with the property manager was great and our questions and concerns were dealt with promptly. The house was as stated and had enough bedrooms and beds for our group of 8. Our only disappointment was the pool and the hot tubs were closed for the season, listing states open for the summer, but actually they close right after Labour Day. Although the beach is very rocky, our 2 1/2 year old granddaughter had a blast exploring the shore. It is a bit isolated and we knew that going in, so we would plan our grocery shopping trips with going to see other parks and beaches in the area. Overall we always have a good time being together as family and would recommend this house and complex, even though we didn't have the pool or hot tubs.

Our Experience

There were only the five of us, all cousins. The beds were on the hard died, but did not keep us from sleeping well. The twin beds were a bit short for adults. Could have had one more chair in living room. The site east superb. Access to the beach was wonderful. We loved being together in one place. The dining table was a wonderful area to dine, but also to play board games and just visiting.

Not totally satisfied

Pool was closed and we didn't know until we arrived. Our fee was not reduced accordingly. There is very little stock of everything, from laundry detergent to salt and garbage bags. We ran out of salt and contacted the owner- was told we had to drive out on our own because it was the long weekend. The closest place to get salt is half an hour drive away. There are lots of ants in the property, even on the second floor. We saw them in bathrooms and in bedrooms. The house is otherwise beautifully decorated and well stocked. The customer service was unfortubately lacking during our stay and listing was inaccurate.

Just What We Were Looking For!

We were four middle-aged+ high school friends getting together for the first time in almost two decades and this place was pretty much perfect for us. The property was spotless when we arrived and we found it easy to keep clean, in part because everything we needed to do so was provided. It was very well equipped, with absolutely everything we needed, especially for preparing meals. Two of us drove to our get-together so having a driveway that held two vehicles was ideal. We loved the patio out back, private and shaded and perfect for the warm days we had. Each one of us found his bed to be very comfortable - thanks for that! The property was very well maintained and we were delighted that the pool and hot tubs were open - we were in them every day. Had the weather been worse we might have availed ourselves of the very well equipped facilities in the communal recreation building next to the pool. Loved the keypad entry, which allowed people to come and go independently as they pleased, vs. having just one or two keys which I've found is often the case with rental properties. The only "quirk" was the request that we complete a sort of inventory checklist upon check-in. I've stayed in a few dozen rental places over the years and this was the first time I'd encountered that. The form itself was confusing and difficult to complete but we did the best we could. This was, however, a minor blip in an otherwise excellent rental experience. I highly recommend this rental - thanks for a great experience!

Words can't express my disappointment: awful experience

Booking with Pierre was a huge mistake. We stayed here from June 17 to June 20, 2024. At the start of our stay I walked through the property and took note of pre-existing damage and took photos to protect myself just in case. At the end of our stay we cleaned the house, took out the garbage, and recorded a walk-through video to show the space was clean and in excellent condition just before we left. Pierre later sent text messages accusing me of damaging a shower curtain-liner, and told me he was going to deduct it from the deposit. I sent him pictures showing that those curtains were already torn prior to our stay. He then accused me of stealing his futons, and threatened to report me to VRBO. It was literally impossible for us to take them. He later admitted that he found his futons, but never apologized for making false accusations to me. If that wasn't bad enough, Pierre was an extremely disorganized host: 1. He never told me there was a community gate requiring a code to access the property. So when we arrived we had to stand outside and wait for him to respond. 2. Pierre gave me the wrong access code for the swimming pool, so we had to ask another resident how to get in. 3. The barbecue was disgustingly unclean. We had to clean it ourselves. 4. Three of the beds were very hard and uncomfortable. In all the years I've used VRBO I've never had a problem with any host and have never been treated so badly as I have from Pierre. I would give 0 stars if I could.
