"When planning our family vacation I did extensive research before choosing a resort. We had previously stayed at the Dreams Playa Mujeres and had a great experience but wanted to be a bit closer to the city. I ended up going with Dreams Vista and was overall very pleased. The rooms were a good size and very clean and had all the amenities necessary. The resort is very condensed and set up in a more horizontal manner rather than a normal courtyard with the pools in the center. Everything was in one place and easly located. Thelarge pool is very long and has plenty of seating but no swim up bar. The smaller pool doesn't have much seating but is less crowded. One of the reasons I chose this property was because it had a water park, we took our 5 year old, but it was closed and was eventually boarded off half way through our stay. The food was very good, they had a food hall daily during pool hours where they offered hamburgers, sushi, tacos, burritos and quesadillas. While at the pool there were waiters constantly coming around to take drink orders and check if you needed anything else. The restaurants on the property were all very good. They served good sized portions and every dish we tried was very tasty. Reservations were easy to make on the app but they also accepted walk-ins and the wait was minimal. The have access to a small beach that is good for photos. Overall I would recommend if you want a more quiet boutique style resort rather than massive in scale."

"This property is gated and so was a little bit more challenging for my uber ride to access. Arrived a bit early and were told we would be messaged when our room was ready, this did not happen, instead we had to check back in with them. We waited in the beautiful pool. Hotel was not anywhere near full, but needed to wait for a room that had previously been occupied. Room we received was beautiful on the inside, however directly across from the elevator. A+ bathtub and luxurious shower. Super comfortable bed. Reserved an ocean view jr suite, but was on the other side of the hotel. I suspect this is because we had reserved a room at discount through Expedia. The hotel staff were helpful but the restaurant service was not great. Upon taking our orders the waiter asked why we weren't ordering more alcohol. We obliged, ordered more drinks and put in the food order- which he also questioned why there was not more of. After ordering he said alright see you in 3 years, a weird joke but then proceeded to disappear for 50 minutes- no water, no drinks- and we were the only ones in the restaurant. The manager came over at the end of those 50 minutes to ask what we ordered and then put the order in and we got food about 10 minutes later. When the food arrived it was delicious, and the drinks were good too. I let them know my food allergy, and 2 of the 3 dishes were made incorrectly, but at that point I just ate the falafel and asked for the check. Really confusing dining experience."
