"Everything was tidy and spotless, but there was a smell in the room and although sheets were crisp and everything looked "clean" the smell alone made it feel unhygienic. I can't put my finger on what the smell was though.
The TV in the bedroom also wouldn't connect to the WiFi so we only had a few free to air channels to watch in that room, while the lounge room TV was working fine.
The restaurant and bar were convenient. Some dishes weren't great but it was a cosy atmosphere."

The cleanliness was impeccable for an older property. Check in and check out was very easy and staff were very welcoming. Zoe, the owner went above and beyond to make our stay wonderful. Bbq area and pool were great. It’s a short drive to Armidale CBD and the university. I will definitely stay again. Great value for money.

We booked this hotel for an overnight stay and were amazed at the beautiful location, these magnificent traditional buildings, the style and class of everything surrounding this amazing place. The room was lovely, spacious, clean, very quiet - the restaurant/food to die for! Staff just so helpful and lovely. We could not believe that we hit the jackpot with this booking! Will most certainly come again

We arrived in Armidale just before noon. The check-in time is advised from 1 pm. On the off-chance we drove straight to the motel. And, yes, everything was ready, fresh milk for a quick cuppa, and the room was ready, freshly aired, chilled water in the fridge and so we had time for a quick shower before off to Uni for a Graduation ceremony. That evening we had a wonderful sleep, very comfortable beds, pleasant, no noise air con, and we woke refreshed, ready for the 6 hour drive back to...

Here, you'll find a collection of local shops, charming cafes, and a few much-loved restaurants. The Puddledock General Store, a local landmark, is also situated here, offering essentials and local produce. It's a very walkable area, making it easy to stroll between attractions.

Many accommodations in this area offer easy access to wine-tasting experiences at the nearby boutique wineries, often providing shuttle services or being within walking distance.
For travellers looking for a more secluded and quiet experience, the areas surrounding the village centre, particularly towards the Puddledock State Forest, offer excellent options.
