Unbeatable view
We so enjoyed our stay at the Sealodge. The views from this unit were incredible and we enjoyed watching the sunrise with coffee on the lanai each morning. We even saw whales in the distance one day. Though it is a bit dated, it is clean, well maintained and in good condition. We hope to return someday.

Nice looking condo however in my opinion the Beds were low quality. When we checked in it was in excess of 90 degrees in the condo. No AC and tood all night with open wondows to cool it down. No sleep that night.

Amazing views of the ocean!
There were four of us that stayed at this property. Myself, my spouse and two of our grandsons (20 & 18 years old). The location in Princeville worked well for us, since we were enjoying the north and east shores of Kauai. The views to the NE were spectacular! We could see all the way to the lighthouse and enjoy sunrises. The townhouse sits on top of the bluff and the ocean is a couple of hundred feet below. Open the windows at night and the waves will take you to dream land. The only down side is that the unit needs to be refreshed with a makeover to bring it into the 21st century. The appliances are old, but serviceable.

Best view in Princeville
Lovely stay for 3 days. Great hike to the beach. Enjoyed stargazing from the balcony. Cooling breezes at night so no need for AC.

Lovely views
The views were true to the photos, they are lovely. We saw whales on a couple of occasions. The unit could use some updates. The trek to the beach cove is true to description and is treacherous. A few of our party could not make the hike down but it was worth it when we made it. There was an issue upon arrival and the keypad did not work but was resolved within about an hour.

If you like Mosquitoes and Bugs in your vacation rental. Book this place.
All the windows' screen were the wrong sizes allowing Mosquitoes to come inside. The unit doesn't have an air condition, and you can't open the windows without getting Mosquitoes inside of the house. You could suffer in a hot sauna in your vacation rental, or be Mosquitoes dinner all night long. I couldn't get the property manager to fix the issue with right size screens on the windows and fix the holes in the screen. When I asked for appointment time, maintenance person hung up on me. In addition, when we were out, maintenance person came into our rental without our permission. Furthermore, maintenance person didn't fixed the issue. I will never rent this place again.

Great views, otherwise a bit disappointed!
We have mixed feelings about our stay here. We loved the view from the condo. Beautiful sunrises in particular! The porch is spacious, and the daybed by the window is a nice place to relax. We also liked how the unit was stocked with beach towels - very helpful! The unit felt very private and the complex was quiet. The unit was outdated but clean. However, quite a few negatives made this unit one that we wouldn’t recommend or revisit. The bed in the master is a full/double, not a queen as shown in the listing. The master bedroom and bathroom are both pretty cramped and hard for two people to move around in. We didn’t think lack of A/C would be a big deal especially in October and with the ocean so close, but it was very hot and stuffy inside particularly in the evenings (even with all windows open). There was a stand fan, but a ceiling fan in the bedroom would likely help a lot. The door unlocking/locking mechanism was finnicky and often required a few tries before working. We also originally found this unit on another popular condo website starting with an A (booked through this site because better cancellation policy) and it appeared that there was a washer/dryer. The washer and dryer are in another building, not well marked, and required coins ($2 per wash, $2 per dry). The only place we could get bills changed into coins was the bank. No detergent or dryer sheets were provided. And the door to the laundry room required a code that was not clearly communicated. We emailed Arrived and got it eventually (also ended up finding it posted inside a closet), but the whole laundry situation was a struggle. The wifi also did not work well. Ultimately, we were disappointed the unit, but others at may find this unit more suited to their needs if they are okay with the cons described above! I think with some improvements, this unit could be really great!

Everything about our stay was great! The pictures in the listing were exactly what we got and although the property was a little outdated, the views made up for it tremendously! They weren’t kidding when they said they had the best views. When we had questions, the response timing was prompt and we felt everything was very well cleaned upon our arrival!

This is one of Sealodge’s best uunits
This property has just about everything—comfortable furniture, reasonably comfortable beds, fantastic views, very adequate kitchen equipment and a really good fairly new flat screen tv. Very slow internet, and the lack of a knife sharpener are about the only negatives. Unlike our previous SeaLodge unit, F-1, which was lacking in just about everything (especially relative to its price), G-7 has a lot of good knives but they all are extremely dull—dangerously so, and while there is a knife sharpener (very unique in rentals!), it is way beyond its prime and didn’t help. I was excited to see plenty of decent knives (a minor miracle in SeaLodge rentals), I couldn’t sharpen them at all. And really dull (but otherwise decent) knives are really dangerous to use. Thanks also for leaving a discount card for the Foodland grocery store here, nice touch! This place was very clean, and has a very attractive interior. It will stay on our list for future rentals at SeaLodge!

Agency and onsite property need better communication.
We were told there was no beach equipment, so we brought snorkeling by gear which was cumbersome to fly with.There was all we needed in the unit. The twin bed upstairs is as uncomfortable and WiFi not working upstairs. The location and view were phenomenal! The described private beach was treacherous to get to due to slipping and on the weekend it was closed. The place was very clean with perfect views. Concierge did not work on weekends.

The good news: great views from living room and bed rooms. Convenient coin operated laundry facilities steps away. Near by challenging beach trail. Moderately quiet unit. Bad new: old unit in need of multiple repairs. No AC and two of four broken fans, drapes in master bedroom a joke (fell down multiple times), no cable TV only streaming, grindingly slow WiFi, dirty floor mat in bathroom, ancient corroded window frames, funky door lock and non-existent lock on slider (must use a broom handle to secure!), balcony floor boards loose and feel really dangerous. Owner needs to spend some $$ on this unit to bring it up to average. Would not recommend....

I’ve stayed at Sealodge several time because it feels safe and it’s very quiet. This unit kitchen was well equipped. I never had contact with the property manager as everything was done online, very efficient. The decor was blasé and the metal table on the lanai needs to be replaced because two of the legs on the table are rusted off and sharp edges.

Beautiful View but....
This rental could not have a more beautiful view! The vast blue sea, the stars, the sunrise! The breeze blowing off the ocean through the large windows was like natural air conditioning. There was a moderately difficult hike down to a gorgeous and shady secluded beach (our 2.5 year old made it, with help but wouldn’t want to do it every day). This beach had a sea turtle, great snorkeling and a swing! The unit is a bit out dated but was bright and happy and didn’t bother us too much. However, the patio furniture outside was in such a hilariously awful state we were baffled. Broken glass on a side table and the legs of the dining table SO rusted and jagged that I cut my toe on it and one table leg was nearly two inches shorter than that other such that you couldn’t place a glass on it without sending it flying. I was unable to let my kids out on the deck worrying about them getting cut on the furniture. I texted the property management company and was told they would look into replacing it but got no follow up more than 24hrs later. We also began to notice the overwhelming smell of some cleaner or laundry soap (that would really bother someone with allergies or sensitivity to smells). The windows were dirty, the carpet had dead little roaches in the edges every couple feet and the lampshades were mildewed. In the evening, the roaches came out. Crawling on our food in the cupboard, transferring from a bag of chips onto my son and surprising us on the toilet in the middle of the night. Sizes of the roaches ranged from little ones the size of a large house fly to larger ones at least an inch and a half long. We had a horrible night, didn’t sleep as roaches were on both levels. Had to shut the windows as moths and bugs were getting in through the screen so it was very hot. We left the next day to find new accommodations. Just over half of our payment for a week was refunded promptly after we lodged our complaint. We understand that roaches are “a part of island life” but could not image all of the people in the other Sealodge units were all happily coexisting with them. We have spent a total of 3 weeks on Kauai split between two trips (some in Spring and some in Summer) and this is the only place we have come across roaches. The view was almost worth dealing with the roaches and subpar cleanliness but we couldn’t get over how it ruined our night and just didn’t feel clean or safe for our kids.

The positives: The place is lovely, with an incredible view and ocean winds that caress you sleep every night. The place was dated, but very clean and had many cool items left over (snorkels, kitchen supplies, first aid kit, patio chairs, etc.) It felt like a home. Overall, I loved it. But....the negatives: The WIFI was absolutely HORRIBLE! A speed test showed 1 Mgbs download, 0 Mgbs for upload. I reset the modem several times without any improvement. The WIFI also dropped off often, refuse to connect and/or would ask for the password repeatedly even after you entered it correctly. For 4 days, we could not stream movies, upload to social media, or use any entertainment devices. This caused tremendous frustration for my family. I called "Arrived" (the mgmt company) several times over my stay. Although they promised to address it, I never get a callback or a follow up. I had to constantly call them to ask for an update. That's just bad customer service. So although it said free WIFI on Expedia, the truth is do not expect it to be working when you check in or that "Arrived" mgmt will help you. I apologize to post a negative review, but WIFI is a very important aspect of a vacation stay. To have no options to view movies, play games, or upload vacation photos, is very disappointing. The condo is nice, but the customer service from "Arrived" was just terrible.
