We were blessed with a week here during unusually perfect weather for the season. Tunnels and Ha'ena were calm and sunny for a couple of days in a row, making for great snorkeling. Hanalei is 15 mins, Tunnels is 20-25 mins, and Kapaa is 30-35 mins. The unit was exactly as advertised: very clean and equipped with more than enough kitchen appliances to make basic meals. We used the mini-air-fryer to "hard boil" a bunch of eggs and cook up a pack of bacon for on-the-go breakfasts, along with the pre-stocked coffee (choice of two coffee makers). The mini-crockpot slow-cooked chicken dinner for us while we were out and about during the day. The blender was great for afternoon smoothies using frozen fruit and yogurt. Then the air fryer came through again for cooking steaks, egg rolls, and the like. This was great for us since we tend to eat most meals at home due to a fair number of food restrictions. The well-stocked bathroom has a nice rainfall showerhead, fluffy towels, shampoo, soap, etc. The snorkel gear and boogie boards were appreciated, as was the small combo-WD for the mid-week wardrobe refresh. The view out back is a stand of green bushes and trees, with the Kauai cliffs in the background, and a slice of the bay visible over the railing. From the mini-park out front (across the street) is a fantastic view of the bay, where sunset-watchers gather nightly. With mostly quiet neighbors and easy parking, this isn't a fancy place but it's comfy, clean, and priced just right.
