"The value of this hotel was great. It's situated at the top of Positano so walking down and back up from the town center was quite a trek! No need to go to the gym! The room was decent. A bit dated but clean overall. Nothing to rave about. The mattress was nice and firm and the pillows were amazing. We were well rested. We were situated at the end of the hall, so we did not have neighbours at one end and our friends were next door. Very quiet. Didn't get the chance to use the amenities but from our room's view, the pool looked amazing with the backdrop of Positano. Was happy that we got upgraded for free to a room with a view. Breakfast was only ok. Not terrible. All staff at the hotel were super friendly. I would stay here again."

"We've stayed at a lot of hotels, but Hotel Montemare is in a league of its own. From the moment we arrived until the moment we left, the staff made us feel genuinely cared for. The service was the best we've ever experienced. It's the little touches that made it unforgettable: coming back each evening to find a bottle of champagne chilling in our fridge, and ending our days in the hot tub watching the sun go down over the ocean. "Incredible, one of a kind stay at the Poseidon! Not only is the hotel property itself amazing (pool, restaurant, bar, secret bar, balcony rooms, stunning views) AND the staff are the most helpful (booked dinner reservations, booked a hair appointment for my wife, predict all your needs), BUT ALSO the location might be the best in Positano. It is right on the main (only) road going down towards the beach so you have an easy, gradual walk past all the main shopping as well as right next to the main stairs for a fast-track to the beach. We will stay here everytime we go to Positano! Grazie mille!"
