"My mother and I recently stayed 2 nights at Svetoni and had a wonderful time. The resort hotel and grounds are impeccably kept and beautiful. It is very quiet, and we enjoyed walking the vineyards, relaxing, and taking a wine tasting tour. The wine and meats were delicious, and we wish we had more time to enjoy the pool and spa if it were warmer.
The included breakfast was outstanding, and we met some great people each morning to chat with.
It also has a Michelin star restaurant on site, which I didn't realize so we didn't get a chance to eat there, but it looked delicious. I'd stay again on my next visit."

Is about a 25 minute walk up hill to montepulciano which is a lovely place to spend the evening - worth booking the restaurants in town. "I can't recommend the Marsili highly enough. The property is perfectly situated just on the outskirts of Cortona center. A 5 minute walk and you are exploring a fascinating, casual, friendly, safe and fun neighborhood. Every member of the staff went out of their way to meet our needs. We loved the breakfast as it was different daily and so delicious. The rooms were large and comfortable. We sat up in bed in the morning to outstanding views of the valley. It was out of a painting.
