"I want to be fair on my review. The property charge extra 30 Euros for checking in after 6pm. I found this no good since traveling carries certain schedules, I consider 8 or 9pm is a common time to check in into any B&B, Hotel, etc. I do respect their rule. Also, the property did not disclose in internet that the bathrooms are shared. I understood every room has their own bathroom, it is not the case. "The suite is very open, nice and comfortable. There is no microwave, but there’s a tiny mini-fridge. My front and back terraces have a great view of the mountain and an ancient structure. Keep in mind that there are stairs and no lift. Many places in Sicily and Europe are refurbished out of ancient or at least old stone buildings. Lifts would be impossible in some. It’s beautiful if you can navigate it. "

Hotel Bel 3

"We had an interesting experience with Hotel Bell 3. Arrived at the airport around 10am, and were supposed to be picked up by the hotel's driver. Well, it took us 1hr and 10-15 minutes to clear passport control, and once we got our luggage and went outside, driver was no where around. We called the hotel and they told us that the driver "waited an hour and left". However, he demanded that we pay him just the same. We took an Uber (taxi) to the hotel, which was $98 (quoted $68). We, of course declined to pay the hotel driver, which made things even worse. He flatly refused to drive us anywhere. Hotel was literally far away from everything, There were no stores, bus stops, or other restaurants around. We had to take the Uber where ever we went, which was super expensive. Trip to the town was $60-70, and to the beach $80-90, one way. Somewhere in the middle of our stay, we patched things up with everyone, and then took a hotel transport to the town and a beach. Other than that fiasco, we liked the staff, reception personnel, waiters, housekeepers, everyone was super nice and accommodating. However, if we were to plan another trip to Palermo, I'd choose accommodation closer to the city or a beach."

"We had a wonderful time. We traveled with the in-laws and teenagers. The property had a little something for everyone with the multiple pools and private beach access. Would highly recommend for anyone staying in the Palermo area and wanting to enjoy time in the sun."

"A little tricky to find. Perhaps better signage would have helped. Francesca was very friendly & very helpful in explaining all the details needed for our stay. The hotel is a bit isolated but that was ok as we were only staying one night. The hotel organised a taxi transfer early morning at a competitive price. It only took 10 minutes to get to the airport. We didn't experience a proper breakfast as we left before 8am. There were plenty of things available though. Slight issue with people leaving the hotel early morning. The staircase & corridor amplified noise but thats not the hotels fault more the ignorance of noisy inconsiderate people! All in all a great hotel for a one night stopover for early morning flights. Ohh & I managed to watch the England v Croatia match by mirroring my ipad to the tv 👌"

"It was a perfect stay at this hotel owned and run by Girolamo and his wife. The rooms are clean and beautiful and they even have drinks and snacks for all of us. They were helpful, responsive and very good people who made sure our stay was smooth and pleasant. We got stuck one evening at Carini station because there was no taxi available and Girolamo kindly picked us up without hesitation. Would love to stay again in the future and recommend this hotel to all."

"Our family of four (2 adults, 2 teens) had a wonderful holiday in this beautiful villa that is very conveniently located for visiting Palermo and the west coast of Sicily. The three highlights of the house were the pool - lots of fun, big enough to swim in, diving board - the host, Gaetano, whose warm welcome and helpful recommendations helped make our holiday, and the large covered terrace area where we spent our evenings talking, eating and playing cards.We had great days out in Palermo (park at the local train station and take the train), the Zingaro national park, Erice, and a boat trip from Trapani. We also did the parkrun in the park next to the Palermo football stadium: our first time when the course instructions included "right at the orange grove" :-)A car is a must. You cannot really walk anywhere. Although the shops are close, there are no pavements and the traffic on the main road is heavy. Our only caution is that the road to the villa is narrow with two-way traffic. The locals navigate it with ease but as right hand drive people it took us a few days to get used to squeezing past other cars. We'd advise against a very large car if you're staying here. Overall, it's a wonderful option for a family or group of friends, and we hope to be able to return ourselves at some point."
