In this ideal spot right by the Douro River, guests can walk down to Cais de Gaia and then on to the Ribeira (City centre Porto) and the old town, where they can visit the city’s most iconic monuments.

This apartment was renovated in August 2020 and features two bedrooms, each with a balcony and plenty of natural light, a living room with a kitchenette, and a beautiful garden (shared with the other apartments in the condominium), perfect for enjoying breakfast outdoors, reading a book, or even having a barbecue (barbecue, garden chairs, and table are all provided).

With enough space for six people, this apartment is equipped with modern furniture and comfortable beds. There are two bathrooms, both with showers, a fully equipped kitchen (including an oven, microwave, induction cooktop, dishwasher, toaster, and coffee maker, among other items), and an utility room (complete with a washing machine, dryer, and iron). Air conditioning and satellite TV are available in the living room and in both bedrooms, along with Wi-Fi internet access throughout the entire apartment. All guests are provided with high-quality bed linens and towels.

To help you savour the finest wines, this apartment features a climate-controlled wine cellar and a small selection of books on oenology. Take a few moments to learn about wine culture; there’s so much to discover.

This apartment is located on a quiet street in Vila Nova de Gaia and is the perfect place for you to rest and relax at any time of day. From this location next to the Cais de Gaia, guests can reach about 12 port wine cellars on foot, taste dozens of varieties of this Portuguese wine, and visit the World of Wine Museum. From here, you can take a cruise along the Douro River and stroll through Porto’s old town, where the city’s main landmarks are located, such as the Clérigos Tower, the famous Livraria Lello bookshop, Porto Cathedral, the Palácio da Bolsa (the old Stock Exchange Palace), and many, many more.

After exploring the city centre, take the opportunity to go for a refreshing bike ride along the river between Cais de Gaia and Marina da Afurada (Afurada Marina), where you can enjoy the best freshly caught grilled fish. To help with your digestion, continue on to Canidelo Beach and then take the opportunity to go for a swim or take a surfing lesson.

As the regional saying goes, “the best thing about the city of Porto is the view of Gaia.” So, to discover the reasons behind this popular saying, at the end of the day, why not take a cable car ride across the Douro and enjoy the marvellous sunset from the Jardim do Morro (Morro Gardens), which offers truly unique views of the Douro and the Ribeira, Porto’s riverwalk, with all its beautiful lights.

The nearest metro station is a 9-minute walk away (D Line – General Torres station) and offers connections to all other lines in Vila Nova de Gaia and Porto. The Afurada marina and Canidelo beach can be reached by car (12 mins), by bicycle (40 mins), or by bus (40 mins).

Quick access to the main highways heading south is available via the A1 (5 min) and the A29 (8 min), as well as to those heading north via the Arrábida Bridge (5 min), the Dom Luís I Bridge (5 min), and the Infante Bridge (10 min). There is street parking outside, as well as several car parks in the immediate vicinity of the apartment.
