"The Douro River apartments might actually be selling themselves short when it comes to location. The hotel is on the Gaia side of the river, which has a clean, spacious, lively feel and is loaded with shops, market stalls, delicious restaurants, and all of the wine tasting rooms. The apartments are also just 1 block away from the south side of of the lower level of the Dom Luis I Bridge, and within 5 minutes, you can be on the Ribeira side.
