I understand there's a no refund policy for cancellations, but my husband landed in the ER the night before I was to travel to Portland and I contacted both Expedia and the hotel because I had to cancel my trip and neither offered me a refund. That's pretty heartless. Over the price of one night in a hotel. I will never book this hotel again.

The staff is friendly and very helpful. My room was prepped and ready when I arrived. Valet was on point with getting my truck to and from the parking garage. Everything about my stay made my business days easy to unwind from.

we had some personal items taken from our room in our absence. i have waited 1 week to write as i have not heard back from the hotel mngr. aside from that, clean hotel, perfectly located within walking distance to the pier, ferries, restaurants and breweries. our 3rd trip to portland and we wont be staying here again.

Everything great except parking customer service, was very bad. I realize that is a different company but they should do a better job. The ticket didn’t work and I had to pay for another day to get out when I had already paid for valet with the hotel.

Unfortunately a lot of dogs were barking near our room-the sound really carries. Also the drinks at the bar are super expensive and overpriced, not even good. The air in the room was really dry.

Lovely hotel - would stay again. • Helpful/friendly staff • Newer hotel so everything is current • Well appointed/good sized rooms. • Pet friendly **The only thing to be aware of is that noise travels fairly easily between rooms and floors.

The front counter staff were good but the person that checked us in was terse and the person that checked us out was a bit jittery and preoccupied although we were the only people at or around the desk. Th waitstaff and bartenders were very pleasant and informative. We were assisted by a very nice maintenance technician when suing the elevators. The room: We loved the layout of the room and it was very clean. The bathroom choice for the walk in shower is a great one. The opaque glass doors are very nice but the lights in the bathroom shine through them and can wake a sleeping person. My wife found the bed to be very comfortable but I found mine to sink at my shoulders and head. All in all I would recommend this hotel and I would stay there again.

Excellent view, nice bar/restaurant, great walking distance or cheap Uber ride to get anywhere you need. The room was beautiful and the parking garage is super convenient. Would absolutely stay here again!

The location was perfect for enjoying Old Port and conveniently walkable to downtown and major areas of Portland. The property itself was beautiful and incredibly clean and safe and the staff were extremely kind and responsive. We would definitely stay here again!

pros and cons of my solo visit. First and foremost the parking here and in Portland is very expensive.. paying 30/nite for parking in Portland is crazy! Street parking is non-exsistent being that its only 2 hour parking! At least when you are in Portsmouth you can park overnight and the whole day cost me 10.00! So the amenities of this hotel, outside fire pit (wasn't even uncovered) outside igloos and drinks, nope not this either, not in use. I had dinner the first night.. hoping....nope. basically empty with 4 guests. My asparagus was burnt, all 3 pieces, on the very skinny entree plate (bad choice in plates everything like the rice was falling off when you tried to scoop up your food) who lets food go out like that? charred is nice not forgot about... hey its not like the kitchen was slammed people! The salmon entree has a sun-dried tomato sauce on top which was not even edible. it was loaded with whole ones which are very salty as we know and about 10 on the dish!! And the sauce was gelatinous... like it was heated up in the microwave or something... so bad! The salmon was cooked properly, and the rice was good also what didn't fall off my plate. The F&B manager replaced my veggie and sent me a compl creme brulee, which also was overtorched and bitter on top. :( Honestly only plus about this hotel was the BED! I had to find breakfast elsewhere since I wasn't going back for seconds in the rest. Returning? a solid no.

First visit to the Portland old port and our stay was perfect. Convenient parking at the hotel, clean modern rooms and walking distance to the amazing restaurant scene that the city is known for. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Shipyard Brewery is located right next to the hotel too. Would highly recommend.
