"We enjoyed our time at Beth’s Cottage. The beach was just a minute away across the street. We found all the conveniences of home here while on vacation."
"The owners were extremely accommodating. We arrived late and they had already closed their laundry room, but they open the laundry room and just told us to lock it up when we were finished."
"The 4 of us were amazed at this beautiful home and the property. Watching the sunset on ths deck was heaven. All the amenities you would need were provided. Michael was amazing to communicate with and answered all questions promptly and friendly. Would recommend to anyone looking for a peaceful getaway. "
"My husband, our adult daughter, and I stayed at this very comfortable, well-situated property for three nights and absolutely enjoyed our stay. The interior is lovely—everything was new, clean, and in perfect working order—exactly as described in the VRBO listing. Our only small surprise upon arrival was realizing that the “50-acre, Stay & Play oceanside destination” is a community of modular “box homes.” But once we stepped inside our concerns vanished. While the community is technically “oceanside,” this particular property, though it offers an ocean view, is situated a distance from the beach (a 10-15 minute walk, as described in the listing). That said, the beach itself is beautiful, and the community has its own private section. We loved having breakfast outside on the gorgeous deck, and one evening we were treated to the most spectacular sunset I’ve ever seen! While Port Hood doesn’t offer many restaurants or shops, Mabou is just a 15-minute drive away, and we had a fantastic evening at the iconic Red Shoe Pub. This property also makes a convenient base for exploring parts of the stunning Cabot Trail. As hosts, Iryna and Michael could not have been more helpful. They were readily available for questions and checked in with us to make sure everything was going smoothly. If I’m lucky enough to visit Cape Breton Island again, I wouldn’t hesitate to book this property."

"This is a property that really highlights the amazing beauty of Cape Breton! Sunsets are breathtaking, as is the trail past the pond to the private beach. The property is exactly as offered. We had everything we needed for a wonderful 3 nights. Michael took great care to ensure we had a very comfortable stay there and communication/responses very fast. There are also great reataurants within 20 minutes of the property. I have no problem highly recommending this property!"
"This was truly a special place! The rental was clean , view and wildflowers amazing and the private beach serene. I really don’t know how much more perfect it could have been."
