Ferries run to Dunoon and the Cowal Peninsula, which is known as Argyll’s Secret Coast. Head south into Ayrshire with its varying coastline, villages, beaches and rocky coves to explore, with Skelmorlie heralding the start of the Ayrshire Coastal Path, a 100-mile long coastal walk. Inland there is walking, cycling, gardens and castles to visit, racing and a choice of golf courses, including the world famous open venues of Troon, Prestwick and Turnberry.
With wonderful views over Dumbarton Rock and Castle on the River Clyde, and within walking distance of the charming local pub/restaurant, this property is ideally located for exploring the surrounding area. Visit the Trossachs Discovery Centre to learn more about this exciting area, or enjoy a cruise on the stunning Loch Lomond. Really enjoyed our stay. It was a real home from home even down to the slow cooker provided! There were amazing views so if you didn’t feel like going out there was plenty to see. Would definitely return

Glencairn is a home from home.
Glencairn is a home from home. It has everything you need. A very well equipped kitchen, spacious dining room and comfortable sitting room with fabulous views over the Clyde. The bungalow has an enclosed rear garden and a lovely large front garden with space to park your car. It is situated within a small quiet established estate where everyone still acknowledges you with a cheery smile. We arrived tired from a long journey so it was a welcome sight to see how spotless the bungalow was. Also it was warm and comfortable and the welcome hamper was so kind. Thank you.
