"The room was large and the bed comfortable. Good size bathroom. A fan was provided as no air-conditioning. The only downside was the window did not open and had a closed shutter on the outside. Not too much of a problem as only slept there but initially it felt a little claustrophobic. Great location. Would stay there again but only in a room with a window you could see out of and opened."

"We stayed at the residence for 3 weeks, the staff and the director were very helpful, We are elderly, some of the rooms do not consider this, and this should in my opinion be made available. Hotels.com was useless in resolving our issue, spoke to a supervisor who was useless. plenty to say but did not resolve our problem. my wife and I resolved it by communicating with the directors, who then understood our issue and quickly resolved it. One important issue, the fire alarm was activated one evening around 2230 hrs, there was no emergency evacuation procedure, and this should be resolved, with clear instructions on all accommodation doors, with a larger noticeable procedure in the main reception area. John & Mary"

"Very clean room. Great amenities and good quality breakfast. For the price this hotel really surprised us! Really nice and perfect location for a short walk into La Rochelle old town. Stayed with two small children and was ideal!"

"It's basic in terms of amenities but has everything you'll need to explore La Rochelle. The reception staff were all welcoming and helpful, the aircon is very good, the bed was super comfy. And the breakfast was very pleasant - very on par with Ibis or Travelodge. The bathroom is small and basic but spotlessly clean. We absolutely would stay again! **If you want to use the hotel car park you MUST message ahead** but with that said if you don't mind cruising around for a bit, there's free street parking....it just might take a while to find a spot but you will eventually. The only note is that you will need to get across the water to get into town, but it was easy enough. In fact we ended up watching the Bastille fireworks from the south side of the harbour where the hotel is - great view!"

"Breakfast was simple and delicious. We loved the close and easy access to the Old Port Quai and the old town. Tiny rooms, smaller than I expected given the info on Expedia, but the bed is comfy, the shower is good and being close to the restaurants and the Old Port was a definite plus!"
