A Serene Guest House Perched Right On The Ocean, Pet Friendly, Central.
This funky, eclectic guest house is your home away from home. The ocean is in the back yard of the Blue House and provides an uninterrupted view of Masset Inlet and the surrounding mountains. It is home to eagles, kingfishers, cranes, herons, swans, and deer. From the front door, you are less than a block to the pub or the grocery store. The house has a very open design. It is furnished with antiques and oddities, including a cookstove that is 100 years old, and Chinese pieces from the same time. A funky, well-equipped kitchen includes dishwasher, stove and fridge for cooking up your catch of the day: crabs, clams, fish, deer or berries You can launch canoe's and kayak's from your own back yard and paddle to Juskatla Narrows, a pristine and ecologically rich area. The gardens include many indigenous plants and lichens, and lots of comfortable spaces to sit and be. The master bedroom has a queen-sized bed and clawfoot tub, from which you can watch the hours-long sunsets that Port Clements is famous for. Bedroom # 2 has a queen-sized bed and tons of room to stash your stuff. There is also a 6.5-foot long leather couch that is great to sleep on and tons of space for cots or mats.
The Blue House is a block from the long dock, which is set up for fishing right off the dock. Crab and prawns live in the inlet and you can cook them up in the back yard. The general store is half a block away and is reputed to carry the best produce on the island. Local growers offer organic produce and there seem to be berries to pick all season.
Centrally located, the Blue House is perfect for exploring the island. Port Clements is the gateway to the wilderness, with access to the west side of the island and Rennell Sound. It is 40 minutes to North Beach for swimming and surfing, dip netting crab, beachcombing, and incredibly lush-with-life tide pools. Go south 20 minutes to Tlell and local gift stores, farmers' markets and beautiful sandy beaches.

Really well equipped kitchen with lots of seasonings and condiments provided. Don’t go grocery shopping until you see what is there. Coffee and tea provided. Super comfortable beds and lots of towels and cozy blankets for curling up in front of the fireplace. Fantastic place to use as a base for exploring!
Very unique accommodation in a very nice small and friendly community. Set in the middle of Haida Guaii so either north or south activities accessible.
The Bluehouse met every need one could have on vacation. It was fun and comfortable, minutes walk to everything we needed. Best of all it was steps from the ocean with a wonderful view to enjoy! Loved it!

We were able to cook. Great bathtub and view. Central to what we wanted to do.
The Blue House became our home for eight days as we explored and experienced the nature and culture of Haida Gwaii. We chose this accommodation because it is pet friendly and centrally located. The living area is spacious, and the kitchen is well equipped for cooking an evening meal. The view of the inlet from the master bedroom and deck were especially beautiful at sunset. The convenience of having a grocery store, bakery and pub in close proximity was an added bonus. Adele is a thoughtful and friendly host who responded quickly when contacted with the occasional question. The Blue House is definitely an accommodation we would book again on a return visit to Haida Gwaii.
Host was terrific. An eclectic fun place to stay. There was a great pub just down the road, grocery store that you could get everything at, such a bonus. There was also a great museum all about Port Clements. Easy travel between Massett and Queen Charlotte. Nothing better than having morning coffee by the ocean!! Perfect place to get away from it all and experience the magic of Haida Gwaii!

Adele's Serene Guesthouse
Overall, we very much enjoyed our stay in the cute little guesthouse. Great location and very comfortable. I didn't receive any specific check in instructions and the "Contact Host" button on the VRBO website didn't work. Fortunately, the property was open so we were able to enter. The property advertises wifi, but the username provided did not appear and the host didn't respond to my query for the entirety of the stay.

The property was very clean with all the basic necessities. Master bedroom led to patio and deck onto the ocean bay. Gorgeous sunrises and sets. Could see otters and seals during our stay. Market 2 doors down and pub/restaurant the other direction. Easily walkable but need transportation to explore the island. Adele was very communicative over messaging and with information left in the home. Loved the eclectic decor and antiques!
Was such an excellent place to stay. Highly recommend and would stay there again. Host was so kind and accommodating and had a wealth of info for our stay.
A lovely little house in a perfect location, ocean front, between the pub and the store, but very quiet. We had all we could possibly wish for.. even a crab trap and pot.. The propane fireplace puts out a lot of heat after a rainy day in the woods..We loved it.
Adele's Blue House was a fabulous place to stay, right on Masset Inlet. The house was both very funky with antiques and Haida Gwaii bits and bobs, and homey cosy. Great kitchen, bath tub, book shelf and back deck that's perfect for a morning coffee or sunset happy hour. I highly recommend it!
Absolutely beautiful location and a home with everything thing you need. Can’t get any closer to the ocean without stepping in it. Host Adele went above and beyond making sure our stay was enjoyable. Very clean, cozy and charming. If we are able to make it back to the island this is where we are staying. Thank you so much Adele
Very comfortable. Morning coffee on deck on the waterfront exceptional

Port Clement is an excellent place to stay while visiting Haida Gwai. Central to the island, very quiet and very friendly. And Adele's funky Blue House suited 4 of us well.
We had a lovely time in the Blue House. It is as pictured, but perhaps larger than the photos show. We were a group of 3: me, my husband & my father and the rooms worked out very well. Our favourite part was sitting on the deck with our coffee (am) or glass of wine(pm) and watching the water and sky. Adele was very helpful and responded to any questions quickly.
Beautiful little cottage right on the water, with a nice patio and fire pit. Lots of space, with a large kitchen and living room. Adele is wonderful and a quick communicator. The cottage is very well equipped, but it's a bit of a treasure hunt to find what you're looking for (open all doors and cabinets). Port Clements is very nice, but about an hour's drive from Skidegate / Queen Charlotte. Place could have used a final check - we found a half-empty box of Timbits and the dryer was full of towels.

We loved our time at Adele's Blue House. It had everything we needed, ie., laundry, cozy kitchen, with the water only steps from the romantic bedroom with clawfoot tub... where you can even watch the sunset. Adele is attentive to your needs AND gives you all the privacy you could want. The yard & indoor decor is a feast of original creativity & we literally felt we were coming home at the end of our daily activities. The village of Port Clements is inviting & friendly as you walk about and the Pub down the road is really fun, great food, bustling service and great view of the pier. I felt sad leaving the blue house and will always have wonderful memories of it, Adele's special hosting flavor and the folks of Port Clements. Thank you, Haida Gwaii...... best regards.
