We got to the hotel with our 5 year old well before check-in and while they were booked solid they tried to get us into a room as soon as possible. I also really liked that they had Easter activities planned for the children, and made sure the kids had fun things to do. "

"I love this hotel… we’ve been here several times. The staff was great, views are amazing, the food was good and is easy to enter, the parking, the lobby… everything was good! It’s time for some renovations… the building seems dated, and beds were kind of uncomfortable. If I’m going out of home and I have to pay, I better be sleeping in a comfortable place. "

"Let me start off by saying the house itself is very pretty and the view from the balcony is nice, but besides that this is a horrible place to rent let me start off by saying it was nearly impossible to find because they do not have an address put up at all upon arriving to this rental. There was garbage bags all in the front yard because they were working on the roof, which was fine at first, but then on day five it began to be a little annoying that we had workers constantly around my vacation rental during this whole time they failed to fix the leaking roof. There were leaks in three spots, which we do have pictures to confirm then on day two we realized that the pipes upstairs which accounts for three of the bathrooms were clogged, including the toilet sinks and showers again have pictures to confirm. We did not notice on day one because the pipes had to clog all the way up from a lower pipeBefore we noticed. we let the host know, and this seemed to aggravate her, which I did not understand. Then, when we tried to cook the whole place filled up with smoke because the overhead hood that supposed to suck, the smoke out did not work, would not even turn on again have pictures to confirm we let the host know and then she said at this point it’s beginning to be ridiculous that we keep contacting her to let her know these problems and that we are starting to harass her. SMH after this, we ceased communication with her and only went through Vrbo! Be careful the host are frauds!"

"Our stay at La Hacienda was truly lovely! The kids loved the pool, games, volleyball, basketball, and numerous swings and hammocks on the property. It is a true retreat. The kitchen was nice with a lot of basic supplies. The outdoor kitchen was also a great plus. We did a bonfire one night and that was nice too. The beach across the street was spectacular - much better than we expected based on online reviews. We essentially had the very large beach to ourselves! The water was calm and perfect for safely swimming with the family. The beach had a large volleyball area with numerous nets as well as soccer goals. There were also lower nets for foot volley ball. The house provided a few balls, several beach chairs, and an umbrella but the beach across the street also had great “natural umbrellas” - the palm trees. One day there was a beautiful horse on the beach (had harness and tethered to a tree while owners enjoyed the beach I suppose). There were some dogs running around that had collars on but I suspected they were strays - they didn’t bother us but were always there. The area was overall very nice and quaint. We visited local spots including Rincon (great sunset), Aguadilla Crash boat beach (nice clear water for snorkeling but crowded), and Parguera for the bioluminescent bay (about an hour south). I only wish we could have stayed longer!"

"If you’re looking to spend time outside, this is an excellent choice! If you hate iguanas, don’t pick this one.We thoroughly enjoyed the yard, the multiple porches/patios, the kayaks, the hot tub and the plants! Breakfast on the river patio, lunch on the hot tub deck, dinner on the front porch, games on the back porch… iguanas and frogs (toads?) provided entertainment, in addition to birds and butterflies and the little gecko/anolls also running around. Surprisingly few bugs! About the inside- its a simple 2bedroom/1 bath main house, the other bathroom is entirely outside and is the “outside shower”, so 2 showers and 2 toilets total. A/C units in each bedroom but not the main part. The kitchen was reasonably functional with the expected random assortment of goods commonly found in a vacation rental. We regularly found not-so-clean things in the cupboards and drawers so we eventually just washed everything before we used it. I think thats probably a challenge with the cleaner instead of the host, but it wasn’t…awesome.Our challenge was that not all he advertised beds were usable. The queen was fine and the bunk beds were fine although labeled with a weight restriction of 165lbs on the top bunk. Neither the top or bottom trundle bed was usable due to missing hardware. We let the host know about the trundle beds problem and he said he would have it fixed, but if those are important to your stay, maybe double check functionality before booking. "
