I must say my stay at the Paradisus playa de Carmen was very pleasant. Our concierge Jorge went up above and beyond. He surprised my kids in two occasions with toys and a cake and decorations for my son birthday.Also, I am never truly impressed with food in resort but the food was really good. Noas which is the buffet never disappointed. Overall, if you are trying to have a nice family vacation I highly recommend.

Property had great amenities and facilities for the whole family. The food at the restaurants was ok, but not great. Lastly, I did not like how much they differentiate service levels and reservation options for their Circle members.

This property is under new ownership and is no longer a 5 star property. It is now a 3 star. Poor maintenance of facility, rude staff, dark at night, trash was not picked up, ants in the room and food was terrible. Will not be staying here again. Quite unfortunate they have let this property run down as I have stayed here 3 precious times and it was not like this.

We stayed here with a family of 4. Staff is extremely nice and friendly, however many of people who work at the restaurant, do not speak English. Some dishes on the menu are not part of the all inclusive and are served at an additional charge. We ended up paying $170 for two beef tacos ….. Something you don’t even pay in NYC at a Michelin restaurant :( The resort is kids friendly and there are many things to do with children, our kids had a blast! We would come back here just because of the children :) as they did enjoy their stay.

We love the property ... coffee place is great ! Breakfast is the best meal in the hotel . We found there is nothing healthy to eat for lunch only fries chicken fingers and burgers....Dinner restaurants where not 5 star hotel . We fiumd we had hard time finding something we like also we would get sick almost after every dinner.

Well-run hotel with great service and good faciiites overall. Food selection was decent. The suite was amazing, the best I’ve stayed in of any similar tier of resort. Good clean resort, attentive service, lots of smiles. The entertainment was good and we thought the traditional Mexican festival with foot stands and dancers outside in the sandy pavilion was super unique. Overall, we had a great time. Service and operations management are doing a great job. Opportunities: - not enough chairs around the main pool. Having to jockey to stay out of the sun. Get rid of the fake grass and put in more chairs and umbrellas - more shady seating by the beach - please don’t extort guests who run out of sunscreen (see:chairs) with $40USD sunscreen - the sound levels in the theatre are excessive, over 90 dB. This is wildly inappropriate for kids. I have tinnitus and had to leave the magic show intro with my ear actually ringing.
