You will love your stay at Riva, a new apartment building with a 24-hour front desk and an incredible rooftop. The rooftop has views of the city and the ocean, a relaxing pool, a sun tanning area, outdoor and indoor dining areas, and a shared grill.

The rental is a modern studio with loads of light coming in via the small balcony. This retreat also offers air-conditioning, free high-speed WiFi (Fiber optic WiFi; 30 Mb), perfect for remote work, streaming, and distance learning. When you're not out at the beach, you'll love taking advantage of the kitchenette (includes a mini-fridge, stove, microwave, coffee maker, blender, toaster oven, and utensils), sitting area, and cable TV. There is even a mat that doubles as the couch and a bed for a child to stay in. A small safe is also available.

The best thing about this studio is its awesome location - you can walk everywhere! Riva is just a few meters away from an outdoor mall, Paseo Del Carmen, and from there it is just 5 more minutes to the beach where you can relax the rest of the day. It is also just a few minutes away from the pier, where guests can take a ferry to Cozumel, and spend the day on the island. You'll find a ton of restaurants and bars within walking distance and a short stroll will take you down La Quinta walking street to grab an ice cream after. Or set out to explore Tulum Jaguar Park (Parque del Jaguar).

Great location - well equipped apartment

The appartement was nicely decorated, clean and properly equipped, the kitchen had all we needed and more, we noticed it had portable chairs and umbrellas that could be useful for a day at the beach. It is close to the ADO (bus), taxi and ferry terminals, a few blocks away from the 5th Av. Playacar, parque Los Fundadores, paseo del Carmen, etc. We didn't need to rent a car during our staying in playa del Carmen due to its strategic location. Quiet and safe but also close to most of the main attractions and services. I won't hesitate to book this apartment in the future.

Good for the Price, but Not Without Issues

The condo looked like the photos, except it was deceiving because it looked like there was a balcony, but there wasn't. Decor was modern. Plenty of hangers. The rooftop was very nice for relaxing or working. Cleaners need to clean under cabinets and touch points. A/C worked well. No English channels and couldn't log into Netflix account in English either - guy couldn't help. No hot water day 2, they adjusted, but barely enough hot water for one to shower. Definitely not enough for 2. Another day, the sink drain stopper got stuck and sink was full of water. They had to repair. The process of leaving the keys in the lock box was a bit of a hassle. Big issue was noise from construction and Security Staff. I am a city girl and used to noise, but the volume was ridiculous at times, Security would scream..sound travels, but they should have been aware. I was not given a separate WiFi code for the rooftop. Another guest gave it to me, but it should have been provided. WiFi did work well. I never saw a bug once. Location is about 3 blocks to Paseo del Carmen and another couple to the ferry dock at the South end of town. Condo should come prepared with cleaning spray, a roll of paper towels, and a replacement garbage bag. Thank you for providing a hair dryer and iron, as I requested. A full length mirror on the back of the bathroom door or next to the bed would be helpful. For the price, it is a good deal as long as you can deal with some small issues.
