Ocean Riviera El Beso private section was nothing less than mediocre. The resort is on the family friendly side of resorts a lot of older couples and way too many kids running around. It is a nice resort to say the least and what they provide is okay. The El Beso (adult only) section is only sectioned off by trees so I wouldn't expect too much adult only privacy. Lastly, the rooms are nice, spacious, always stocked and bed is comfy. Food is bland, La Locanda is one of their top restaurants. If you're needing a getaway as a family, this is your stay!

Everything was 10/10 from the beginning until the end, we were greeted by Oscar who was so helpful for the entire stay! We will definitely be coming back. Lisandro made sure that everything was to our liking too! The staff at this hotel was really helpful and nice!

My stay at the hotel was exceptional. The food at the buffet was really good and the restaurants were are excellent. My favorite was the Blue Moon and the Steakhouse restaurants. I would recommend any to this resort and would definitely visit again. The staff and service were both 5 star.

I like the dinig options, the proximity to the beach, the spa services, the shows were nice, and the pool activities. What I disliked the most was that all of the food that I was served, across all of the restaurants, was served cold. that was very displeasing and does not motivate me to return. Food is important to an inclusive experience.The floor in my room was not very clean otherwise, it was a nice room. I didn't like the ability to lay out on the beach.

Dirty buffet, bird crap everywhere. Not cleaning tables so the birds were everywhere. I seen a bird take food off a plate waiting to be served and it was still served to a guest. Nothing all adult about this resort. Entertainment terrible

I liked that it was an app to navigate your stay that showed all activities for the day, it allowed you to make reservations to their restaurants and order room service. Antonio and Angel at Privilege was amazing. They made sure we didnt need anything and made our vacation wonderful. The only thing i would say is if you think you are booking adults only, it is only one building out the entire resort, with one restaurant and one pool. Other than that, i still had a great time.

Beautiful resort, the architecture, and rooms are very nice! Our room's mattress needs replacement, the AC is not working properly (hot temperature at night) and the bathroom exhaust and bedroom fan are noisy. Other than that this is a great destination in Playa del Carmen!

Terrible place. Ill make it short worst resort place ive ever been to! BED BUGS INFESTED. We are bitten everywhere and brough back to our bed at home. Dont stay here! Its not adults, so many rules you feel like your in prison, rude as staff, bitter older staff wont give attention to guest properly, and food is super bad if you know fine cuisine this is not it! If you use to chicke tenders and burgers this is yo spot Rnecks!

Our room was beautiful and the housekeeping staff was great! El Beso wasn't all that an adults only experience was cracked up to be. Probably not worth the cost. Sonia assisted us with making reservations as the app wasn't cooperating with us, without her we would have missed out on the restaurant options. Sonia was so kind and helpful!! Food was very tourist oriented, which was disappointing. I didn't go to Mexico for anything but good authentic Mexican food. We had to leave the property to get that. We had a great time and we're sad to leave.

My husband and I were celebrating our 11th wedding anniversary! We all had an amazing time. The layout of the resort, pools, food, drinks, room, and staff were amazing! We had the swim up at El Beso and I highly recommend! Everyone was very friendly and welcoming! To add, we had a romantic dinner at the beach and it was phenomenal! Food was subpar at best. The hibachi at Sakura was almost inedible, meat was tough, and everything was extremely salty. Wasn’t sure why a lot of people liked it. We left before dessert and ate a bit to not discourage the chef, she was nice and she tried but it was just not good. Service was not good too at blue moon and worst at the Italian restaurant, waiter tried to sell us wine and we declined his attitude was terrible. It was ironic that they put one of the two smoking areas next to the kids playground by the swings. Yet they came to us when we were smoking on our room balcony,when other neighbors were all doing the same thing. I wouldnt have a problem if this rule was enforced with everyone and not pick and choose who you like to pick on and threaten them with a fine. The staff even brought ashtrays for the neighbors.This left a really bad taste in my mouth. We called for them to pick up the dishes from room service 3 times,no one came so the coatis were fighting outside over the leftovers all night. Another bizarre incident was when they were supposed to bring my friend a birthday cake to the room, this man did not knock and just barged into the room. When we confronted him he just shrugged n left the cake. What happened if we were changing or not dressed?? When this was relayed to guest services they just said oh ok. Been to Mexico multiple times and I’m confident to say this is by far the worse one I’ve been to. Only saving grace was the cute coatis and monkeys.

Our stay was amazing. My boyfriend and I booked this last minute after a cruise cancellation. We couldn't have asked for a better experience. The food was amazing, the staff were so friendly, and the property was always clean. We would like to give a big thanks to Mateo for work at swim up bar and Celeste for keeping us entertained at water days. For Karla and Maria for their assistance at the buffet. For Antonio in his towel assistance to make we dont get that extra charge and many others !! I highly recommend this property. They assisted us with getting cabs, exchanging money, the room was cleaned daily and a wide variety of activities available on site. A small tram to get you around the property as well.

Room had a horrible smell for 2 days. Air conditioner didn’t work properly it was very hot inside the room. WiFi was out of service for 3 days. When I booked this hotel type in adult only resort MEANING NO KIDS. Well this is a kid friendly resort it just have certain restaurants kids are allowed. Vacation was horrible. It was hard getting help to make reservations to eat since WiFi didn’t work & all staff kept saying was book online. The guest service manager saw how frustrating I look and came over and helped. The biggest raccoons I have ever seen in my life walking the hallways of the resort searching for food. I reserved the jr. Suite and the hot tub took over an hour to fill with water because it was broken. Thus resort should not be listed under adult only. $2800 was wasted only for me to leave my kids home and be bothered with other people kids.

Advertising as Adults only and there was kids left and right. Had to pay 100 dollars for resort bracelet the 2 day I was there because they didn’t tie it and felt off. To make a reservation at a restaurant had to make lines a hour before and will take me a hour in line if not longer just to make a reservation.

This place was everything we wanted. Lots of eating options that were honestly all very very good, our favourites being the buffet and Route 66. The rooms were clean and roomy and the AC was amazing! Probably my first time staying in Mexico and not feeling wet and sticky in the sheets. The only down sides would be the beach since it’s basically eroded to nothing and very rocky and full of seaweed which of course can’t be helped, and the layout of the bathroom was strange. The toilet room doesn’t lock and has a frosted glass door that you can see through from the bed, so you should hope you’re very close with the person you’re staying with lol. All in all, it was a place that I’d stay again in a heartbeat.

It is NOT adults only. The only adult area is ONE restaurant and the room you sleep in. Basically the adults only areas is divided from where the kids section by a bush. Most staff was sooo rude. Especially Elias at the customer service and Paola at the breakfast Blue moon. Martha our housekeeper was the one and only with great service and people skills. Would never recommend staying here. For reference our group was 11 total adults only. We booked 6 rooms.

We had an excellent 5 night stay at El Beso Adults Only and thoroughly enjoyed the experience. Small things that were mentioned that could be improved upon is the dehumidifiers in the rooms often needed to be drained in the early hours of the morning. AC was ok but not the greatest and the bar fridge didnt work well so nothing was really cold. Amenities were excellent and services quite great too. Staff shortages were apparent a few times, such as the steakhouse which couldn't offer outdoor dinning due to this issue. Overall very happy and hope to be back. Bluemoon Adults only restaurant was excellent both at breakfast and for dinner. Loved it. Thanks for a great week.

The rooms were very clean and really nice service, except the hot tub on the terrace was painted with white paint inside the tub and the paint came off on your skin. The mattress was to worn up. The restaurants, at least the buffet was very unsatisfied. Very bad service, every day the same food, we found hair in the jelly fruit. They need to hire more staff to be able to take care of all guests. For the money we paid the service and the food was very poor. The beach also is not usable because they did not have chairs there and the water you cannot swim or go into the water. I will not choose this again. If we pay a lot of money we will pay to have everything. That is my experience and maybe will not apply for everyone.
