Excellent good value hotel for short tourist visit
Very welcoming and friendly staff. Good room and facilities for the price. Satisfactory and very good value continental breakfast. Extremely convenient location for the leaning tower and magnificent historical buildings. Recommended.
Perfect location for us to walk from the train station, change & rest up before short walk to the tower of Pisa.

Liked: Cleanliness
Disliked: Amenities
The staff were friendly and the room was clean ( except for the inside of the shower, behind the shower doors). The room didn’t feel welcoming and was rather tatty and dated. Often, there were large sacks of dirty bedding and towels left on the stairs. The adjoining restaurant (La Corte de San Leonardo) was excellent.

Very close to the to leaning tower and walking distance to central station
Talk about a hole in the wall hotel. Connected to what appeared to be a highly sought out dinner venue. Walkable to just about anything one could need from leaning towers to merchandise, hole in the wall dinner lounges and transportation. Place was clean and staff was very friendly and helpful
The property was so lovely for an older hotel with very friendly and accommodating staff. Being informed that it is family-owned made staying there even more special. One can tell that there is a lot of care into maintaining the property and its ambiance. Staff was enthusiastic about telling us the hotel’s history, which was very interesting. The rooms were nice and spacious. They were quiet and very comfortable. The restaurant was a nice addition and the place is a very short walk to the Leaning Tower of Pisa. A great place to stay when visiting Pisa.

Had a very good two day stay. The location is so close in walking distance to Pisa tower and the river. Next to Pisa University botanical gardens and museum. If you’re a botanist you’ll appreciate the location, this is where naturalist academia began in the 1500. Staff is very friendly rooms were clean and serviceable.
Staff was welcoming and helpful. Room had the basics and was comfortable and clean but there is no elevators to all the floors. Restaurant makes great pizza and desserts. Complimentary Italian breakfast was a nice touch. Close to Pisa main sights.
Check in experience was quick and easy with a really friendly member of staff who told us all information we needed. The room was clean, the beds were comfy. Very close to centre and leaning tower, close to airport and train station. Lovely stay thank you
Lovely night in Pisa. Great family room with air con and useful that the hotel had a lift. Short walk to the Tower. Bathroom small but fine. Perfect little breakfast for 3 euros!
We get the room quite a way, need not to wait! The room was clean and staff was very kind! The food in the hotel’s restaurant was very good! Thank you very much! Arrivederci!

Location was perfect, 10 min walk from train station and 5 from the leaning tower and other attractions. Hotel itself was fine, very basic, room was extremely hot, very dark. For 1 night it was fine
Lovely place, however we went one night early as there really isn’t much to do in Pisa once you have spent day around leaning tower. Breakfast is cheap and cheerful. They said no air conditioning when we got there, room
Was so hot, we complained to AM staff and they gave us the remote for the air conditioning. Was great from
There on.
We really enjoyed our stay in Hotel Amalfitana. The staff were really friendly and helpful - let us leave our baggage with them before and after check out to be able to explore and called us taxi when leaving.
The location is perfect -5 min (if that) walk from the leaning tower and about 10-15 min walk to train station and central shopping area. The building itself and rooms are outdated, however the toom size and cleaness compensates this in my opinion. Overall would recommend, as is really good value for money.
The best point was that the hotel offers a 10% discount at an adjacent restaurant with good service and good food. The room was clean but small and fairly primitive - ok for a night's stay close to the Tower and the excellent botanical garden and museum, but not a place I would want to stay any longer. The stairway between the 2nd and 3rd floors had towels strewn on the floor, and there was a smell of rotting food near the reception desk. (I might have just been there on a bad night.)
