"Unit was below average for cleanliness, only 1 tea towel, not enough toilet paper and no dishcloths provided to wipe down surfaces. You could tell the staff were only there to get paid. (6 day stay) Activities for children with water slides fed and lovely pool for everyone. Clean bbq to use for free. Laundry facilities $6 per load. Need washing powder. "

"There was a big black stain on top sheet, so I tried turning it around - there was a lot of debris in my sheets. Obviously not clean sheets, ar all. I had issues with this the time before and the staff were great and moved us. The room was dirty as. Clean sheets are probably the only thing that’s really important to me. Won’t be going back this time. Usually stay in the city now. "

"I have to say that i felt so unwelcoming here this time. Like i was a hassle to deal with.. Maybe as i was not dressed in finery. And had been rather flustered trying to find a place to park my motorhome so i could check in. They seemed to really struggle with the bare niceties. Like i was not up to their standards.. I Struggled bringing my luggage in. Yet not 1 person from staff offered to help. They literally just watched me fumble doors open with my hands full.. On my departure, i had requested a late check out when i booked. And asked if it had been granted or not.. but received no replies at all. So i was late checking out. Male staff member was much friendlier than the female and actually brought the luggage trolley up for me. I did ask for it . And again, they stood behind the desk and proceeded to watch me make a fool out of myself trying to get through the doors with an over loaded trolley.. A gentleman who walked in saw me and instantly helped me squeeze out of rhe lobby door"

"Fantastic hotel. Great location next to the Casino. Good dining options, rooms are extremely well appointed for business and pleasure. As someone who travels frequently for work, this is the best Property option in Townsville - only one of its calibre."

"Not the best place I've stayed at but not the worst. From the front of the property it looked terrible when we were there. Grass was all dead and very faded and tired looking. Pool area is really nice with plenty of seating. The room was mostly good apart from the room we were in had some kind of substance smeared on the wall below the vanity that didn't look great. Staff were nice but still not sure if I'd stay again. Definitely wasn't cheap considering it was a long way from being luxurious."

"This great hotel adjoins the City Arcade, with Woolworths, a chemist, hairdresser, bottleshop and other shops. Very close to everything in the city centre. The temperaturewas kept perfect by the airconditioner. Lovely rooms. Friendly staff. Very clean. Comfortable beds. Slept the best in ages. "

"Pool is roughly half the size that the pictures make out but it's still nice enough. The hotel is ok. Clean but they need to look behind doors for dirt as well. There was significant grot behind the bathroom door which you see when you close the door and under the basin which you see while sitting on the toilet. Not nice. It was very noisy. Kids running up and down outside the room and parents yelling. Mowers going etc etc. Between the rooms there was no noise but from outside it's a real issue with people coming and going. In all it was an ok stay but I wouldn't be inclined to book again."
