"Location is close to the airport the shuttle provided is convenient. There's not really any food choices in walking distance. The reception is very helpful, friendly , and accommodating. They let us check out 12:30 instead of 11 due to an illness. My only complaints would be the pillows are horrible, you just sink in very uncomfortable. The breakfast buffet was just okay. Also when needed assistance with the waffle maker in the breakfast buffet nobody spoke English, so I had to ask another person staying at the hotel. "

"I arrived on an early flight so there were no rooms available when I got there. The 2 front desk staff didn’t even take their eyes off their computer screens and look at me. I was told I could try and come back at 2 and see if there was a room, or even 1pm if I wanted to pay for it. They were extremely rude and not welcoming at all. The bellmen were the only saving grace JJ was kind, helpful and very professional. When I came back after my show is was 4:45ish. I checked in at a kiosk, got my keys and headed to my room. I knew the rooms were small, I was only there one night and had 2 shows to see so it was only for sleep. The bed wasn’t made, mattress was awful as well. I was out in a room with a glass door that opened to the a/c units and trash. I wasn’t expecting a view but cmon…. I’m a woman traveling alone- not a great room to Make people feel safe, there was a flimsy shade but you could see thru it. The smoke detector was not attached fully, carpet was dirty etc. I checked myself in and made my own bed for over $200 so no not a great stay and I won’t be back. "

"My stay at the Hudson was terrible. First at 3:45pm upon checking in staff told me the room was still being cleaned. Upon entering the so called luxury hotel with a patio it was very clear the only luxury part was the entrance. Our room was disgusting. There were greasy handprints on the front door, a screw coming out of the lock, the sink wasn’t cleaned because the top handle was dirty, the night stands were chipped and warped, the paneling by the TV was peeling, the top of the refrigerator was rusted and gross, the back patio we had house keeping never cleaned it. Upon opening the door at some point a party was had because there was marijuana blunts left all over the place, they had a champagne bottle top left, hand warmer wrappers, cigarette butts, and you could see they put out the butts on the table because it was ash burns on the table. Also they charge you an additional $25 per night stay which no one tells you about until after you check in. So on top of the $100 deposit you have that additional charge too. When I went to speak to staff about the room and charges. Staff told me housekeeping does not clean or check the back. They told me they’d have housekeeping clean the next day. That didn’t happen. So I would never recommend the Hudson Yard Hotel to anyone. Awful stay. "
