Bed and Breakfast in Pompton Plains

"This should be a 5 star review, and it would be except for when we were leaving the parking lot the lot attendant looked at me and said "no tip?" Now a tip would have been in order had he done ANYTHING to justify a tip, but he didn't do a single thing. No offer of assistance when we checked in. When we walked by on our way to the car when we checked out he didn't offer to help with the luggage. When we were loading it he didn't offer to help, he just stood there. When he asked for the tip my response was "for what" and he said for keeping an eye on the car in the lot. All I could do was laugh. I'm all for tipping when someone does something for you including housekeeping, wait staff, bellhops, even the front desk if they give you an upgrade. But to do nothing and then ASK for a tip just leaves a bad taste in your mouth. I've noticed other reviews of this hotel saying the same thing happened to them so maybe it's just the way they operate here. Just be aware of this if you stay here. Other than that, the room was great, the front desk workers were friendly and polite, and the hotel was very clean. Great deli next door too!"

"Very nice hotel, comfortable stay. Pretty clean, decent breakfast, spacious room. Parking was annoying because the parking garage is shared with a bunch of businesses and under construction."

"They do have a restaurant with good food and happy hour and they have a store that is open 24/7 other than that nothing big it is next to a jail. "

"Breakfast was ok, nothing special. Location wise plenty of shops and restaurants within a short drive plus American Dream mall is essentially right there a 5 miinute drive away."

"Th3 interior 9the rooms and halls should be updated. If the hotel is not going to offer a courtesy breakfast there should at least be a microwave in the room for food to be warmed by guests "
