"Location worked out well. It’s 15-20 min to either downtown Holland or Grand Haven, both easy drive. Nice kitchen and gathering areas both inside and outside. 2.5 baths, all are on the first and lower levels so anyone staying in one of the 3 upstairs bedrooms had to come downstairs, which in the middle of the night can be a concern. Beds were comfortable. Kitchen well equipped."

"Our family loved the location. The house is very nice. We didn’t spend much time at the house except for sleeping. While some updates are needed, the house overall is exactly as described. The host was very responsive and responded in a timely manner if we had questions. We really enjoyed our time there. "

"First, the house was great and well maintained for our family of 9 (2 grandparents, 4 parents, 3 kids 6-8. The location really is great if you’re ok not being directly on the beach. You can still see Lake Michigan but have to walk a very short distance to get a direct view. If you’re going to the beach for the day, you can use the neighborhood beach access and then just walk down the beach to the public access to set up. We did it a few times with kids so the trip took a little longer than if you didn’t have kids stopping every 20 years to play in the sand or pick up random stuff on the beach. But if you make a direct line, it’s probably a 10-15 min walk. The house was outfitted with just about all the utensils we could have needed to cook, prepare and store food. The only complaint we had was that the cleanliness of the house was a bit discouraging. The bathrooms / showers didn’t seem to have been cleaned from the previous stay and the floors needed a good mop. The couches also were stained and seemed to have had pets on them a lot. Location was great (about 15 mins to Holland) so we were able to do some morning activities in town and hit the beach in the afternoon. "

"Great spot on the Grand River! Lots of kayaks and 2 SUPs to explore the nearby side lake. Lovely host. Great back deck, board games, decor, well stocked kitchen for cooking. No dishwasher but lots of paper products. Yucky water but lots of bottled water. "

"This was the second time we rented this property for our family. It was again the perfect choice for us -- convenient drive to downtown Grand Haven and shopping while providing peace and relaxation on the lake. We made good use of the kayaks and saw bald eagles, hawks, herons, other waterbirds, and even deer during our paddles. One evening we even stayed up and saw the Northern Lights from the patio. The rooms were comfortable, clean, and well-appointed. We plan to stay here again next summer. Thanks!"
