Imagine waking up each morning to that awe-inspiring stillness only the desert southwest can provide. You rise to make coffee in your gourmet kitchen and step out onto the spacious back patio to sip your French roast next to the pool, as the rising sun paints the nearby mountains in shades of vibrant red and gold. It’s easy to feel at home when your days start like this.

Inside this newly built home nestled at the foot of Phoenix’s south mountains, you’ll find three ample bedrooms, a den with fold out couch, and two and a half baths, including a master suite with a king-sized bed, walk-in shower, double sinks, and a luxurious oval soaking tub with a view. Your kids/housemates can claim the other two bedrooms, located in the opposite wing of the house: Each comes furnished with a queen-sized bed and a jack-and-jill bath with dual sinks and a combination tub/shower--the best of both worlds!

Relaxation Under the Stars
After work and on weekends, the home is the perfect place to unwind or entertain: curl up by the fireplace for movie night on the large-screen TV, or head for the private patio with a mug of hot cocoa for stargazing (bring a blanket if you want).

With off-street parking for three cars, an outdoor gas grill and patio seating for 8, the place is pool-party-ready. Or treat your friends to a gourmet feast in the spacious indoor dining room: the fully-stocked kitchen with granite counters and stainless appliances makes it easy to channel your inner Barefoot Contessa.

So Worth It

Don’t hesitate to stay at this super clean, bright, spacious and welcoming home for family time. The finishes inside are truly high-end and the backyard pool and landscaping, with views of the mountain, are beyond inviting. The home owners checked in to make sure we were all comfortable. They truly care about their home and guests. We’ll be back!

Perfect Vacation House

We loved everything about the house. Plenty of room, an incredible master bedroom and bathroom, beautiful full kitchen, great pool, amazing host. We stayed there for over a week, and had zero complaints. While we don’t miss the Phoenix heat, we do miss this house. If we’re ever in the area, we’ll definitely be staying again.

Amazing Home

My family and I just got back from a week stay at this Amazing home! The views are spectacular and the pool was very relaxing. The home is spacious and lovely. It was stocked w/ Everything. coffee, filters, spices, olive oil, toilet tissue, paper towels, kitchen soaps. I mean Everything. We will definitely be back; thank you to the host who were Fabulous!

We so love this place!

This is our second stay at Desert Rose. It is just perfect in every sense. Spotlessly clean, in a beautiful area of Phoenix where we felt completely safe & secure. We just love this property, it is immaculately maintained & stocked with everything you need. It backs onto a wash from the South Mountains so we saw all sorts of wildlife including quail with babies this time, they are so adorable & funny running around all over the place! The pool was lovely & clean & a perfect respite from the heat. Lastly, Sara is the perfect property manager & nothing is too much trouble. We can’t wait to return 😊

This was our second stay at this lovely home. The owners are so welcoming, I love it that they check on you during the stay. My grandson loves the pool and the open space indoors to play with his VR. The home is filled with all that you need for your stay. The location is close to 2 expressways and a mall, what more could you ask for. Looking forward to next year’s visit.!!!

The home is beautiful and has everything you need for your stay. The views are just as described and even better in person. Restaurants, grocery stores & shopping are within a 5-15 minute drive. Just Perfect

This is our fourth day at this lovely property. It is the standard by which we hauled all other VRBO rentals too. we love the base of south mountain location for hiking and mountain biking, also convenient to the rest of Phoenix. The home is immaculately maintained inside and out, and well stocked with everything o e needs for a fantastic vacation. The host are unobtrusive and very responsive if anything is needed. We love the pool and the view out the backyard, lots of quail and bunnies to be seen. Already planning our next trip back!

Spectacular property and views

This house is at the foot of South Mountain, yet at night you can see the Phoenix city lights as well. Spacious, very well appointed and incredibly stocked with all kinds of condiments and other thoughtful products to make vacationing easy. The pool is awesome and there is lots of room for big groups for dinner or a pool party. Owner was a great communicator and very helpful before, during and after the stay. Neighborhood is gated and quiet. Grocery, gas and fast food are close, but the kitchen is huge so no need to go out. Thanks Errol!

A wonderful place to rest

My wife and I had taken a month of as it had been a busy year for me. It could not have been a better place to stay and felt like home from the moment we arrived. The house is wonderfully set up in all ways and the back yard has both the views and the shade in the afternoon to let you enjoy them. Errol and his family were wonderful and even a couple of little hiccups were dealt with easily and without any hassle. It is very quiet which is what we wanted and you can just chill as much as you want but the amenities are all near. Would recommend it highly to anyone and would return without a thought.

All that and then some!

From start to finish this was an excellent experience. The home offered so many amenities for the stay as well as being in a cozy neighborhood. The home was super clean. The friendly checks were so appreciated, it made one feel welcome. The view has to be experienced for pictures can’t capture the serene calm and beauty of the place. We stargazed nightly and enjoyed a lightning storm in the mountains, which was spectacular. The home is centrally located from several expressways. Stores and restaurants were near. Looking forward to a return stay!

Beautiful house and Awesome view

We stayed at this property between the last week of 2020. The house is amazing and I can't say enough about how much we enjoyed spending the week there. I have stayed in many VRBO's and have never seen a house so well stocked and ready for visitors (plenty of trash bags, paper plates, tissue, laundry detergent, etc. Most of the time we've had to bring our own or buy more after a day or 2). The location was great with a view of the South Mountains from many of the rooms, hiking within walking distance / right from the neighborhood and plenty of golf around to play. Due to the 'virus' situation, we did not venture out to eat, but used DoorDash extensively, and found that just about any restaurant you can imagine was available to deliver to this location. We could also tell that the house was quite clean and well sanitized prior to our arrival in keeping with the current situation as well. Overall a great place to stay, and we will definitely look for this property on our next trip to Phoenix.

Amazing home away from home in the desert!

From the VERY beginning, Errol was very communicative, professional, accommodating and KIND. We had a lot of questions before and during our trip, and they were all handled promptly and I must say perfectly. The property: All I can say is the pictures don't do it justice! This is a LARGE house that upon arrival was impeccably clean! Everything is thought of as far as the house being well appointed. The pool area is such a relaxing place to hang out in the morning for a cup of coffee...the little waterfall in the back is comforting, and the sun rises just over the sandbox which by the way was a hit for our toddler. We spend the majority of our 8 nights at the property because it was so comfortable and welcoming. We did take a day trip to Sedona, but it was nice to come back to the house, order some Chinese, and just hang out watching Netflix and playing cards. As I mentioned, we brought our 18 mo old toddler along, and he had a blast in the sandbox and in the shallow part of the pool... Errol was thoughtful enough to provide an umbrella that fits directly into the pool and another that rolls to wherever on the deck you'd like to provide some shade. Believe me, when it hit 113-115 degrees, we needed the shade! There are pool toys and floats provided at the pool as well which was a hit for my older kids. Speaking of the older kids, they loved having a TV in one of their rooms for netflix, and the other they hooked up their Xbox1 to and played to their hearts content... This home allows you to feel like you're at home which makes things so comfortable and carefree while being on vacation. I could go on and on, but the bottom line is this is a 10 when it comes to vacation homes. We've used VRBO and Homeaway a lot in the past, and this house was our favorite!! Thank you Errol for everything!! Oh, I almost forgot to mention... my daughter had left some earrings and a phone charger behind, and Errol was kind enough to locate them and ship them back to us!! Just another example of how caring Errol is. Customer service for this property is superb! Thank you thank you thank you! Tim and Family

Base of Mountain Gem

We loved our stay at this very clean, spacious, mountain view home! It was well stocked and easy communicating with the host. Perfect location for hiking the South Mountain, golf, and plenty of Pheonix area entertainment. Our favorite was time spent relaxing in the heated pool. We highly recommend it and hope to be back!

**Magnificent home!**

This was our second year staying at this home for a family vacation. The house, pool and view are spectacular! Very clean and well stocked. We had 8 family members staying there and the home accommodations were more than sufficient! Great communication with the owner Errol.
