About this property
The Water Tower on 7th Street
A stunning guest house. Stay in a gorgeous example of Wine Country History. A beautiful 19th Century water tower flanking a historic Petaluma Victorian home - converted to contemporary boutique hotel style with stunning hand painted floors. Relax in the modern country kitchen/diner and ascend the spiral stairs to snooze under the stars in the loft bedroom with vaulted ceiling. Just 7 blocks and a 15 min leisurely walk to the historic Petaluma downtown PVL1-21-0040 The space The Tower is bright and light, with a calming and relaxing feel. Completely refurbished in 2020. The Tower is incredibly clean, all kitchen/bath items, linens, beds, sheets and towels are brand new, and great care is taken to ensure proper sanitation and thorough cleaning.
Once a Victorian farmhouse on the edge of Petaluma, the property was built in the 1890's, was home to a prominent early Petaluma family and in the 1990's was a fully operating bed and breakfast. Our loving restoration of the Tower respects its history with the modern luxury of a boutique hotel.
Just 7 blocks from downtown, all the great shops and amazing restaurants on Petaluma are just a short walk.
The bedroom: both roomy and cozy, accessed by a stunning iron spiral staircase, the loft style bedroom has a queen bed and vaulted ceiling. Lots of storage under the bed, and hooks on the wall for hanging your clothes. The space has a good relaxed vibe for a great nights sleep. Good to know: All bedding is professionally laundered offsite!
The kitchen and diner: has compact oven, microwave, fridge/freezer, coffee/tea maker. Smart design means the foodie chef has everything they need.
Bathroom: features an antique roll-top, claw-foot bath (and shower of course). Local organic shower gel, bubble bath and shampoo provided.
An office away from home: the table in the kitchen can sit 4 and great to work at. WiFi is fiber, Tower has its own mesh router - expect 50-60 Mbps down, 70-90 Mbps up.
There is a TV in the bedroom, 28 inches HD with Netflix, Hulu & HBO Max.
Good to know: we now have aircon! Guest access You’ll head through your own access gate to the left side of the main house and use the keypad to enter the water tower.

The hosts were terrific about communicating -- fast responses to our questions. They were also patient with us when we needed help because we accidentally set the fire alarm off while cooking. I often have issues with the beds at rentals but this bed was great.Very cute property in a great location.

HOTBOX
Initially the check in and communication was good however upon entry the smell of the unit was nauseating but clean. The tower is an upstairs loft without proper A/C, the unit provided was poorly installed with a gaping hole of hot air and bugs coming into the space. If you like privacy, this is not the place as there were no coverings on the windows the bedroom faced. I was going to be in town 2 weeks for work and found out the first day that it would much shorter. I contacted them straight away to let them know my stay would be much shorter so they could advertise for tenants and asked them to comp me a portion of the unused visit. She asked me for confirmation of dates, which I provided and then I no longer could get in touch with anyone. In summary: hotter than is comfortable, smelly and poor communication. It is situated by a private pool that can be noisy at night. Pros: cute
