Overall, an excellent stay. Wonderful people, lovely hotel, excellent breakfast, great restaurants accross the street, beautiful town.
Our problem was driving and parking. Driving into the town of Perugia is difficult because it is an ancient medieval city on a hill and there is only one-way-in and one-way-out. So, if your navigation system cannot find the hotel, you will go up-and-down the hill several times (we did). The streets are super narrow. We were fortunate that we saw a blue metal door, labeled with a "P", called the hotel and they confirmed that was their parking. They sent someone to open the gate and help us with luggage. After that nerve-wrecking driving experience, we were greeted so warmly by the staff that we started to forget and enjoyed our 2 night stay very much. Next time, we will take the train and taxi to the hotel. TIp: find the underground city called Roca Paulina.
