"The ambience of the hotel, its staff and its food were all excellent. Our room was spacious and comfortable, though there were several faults, only one of which was fixed in the two days we were there. To be fair, we were given a £38 credit on checkout because of this. We found the free airport transfer bus very useful. We would not hesitate to recommend the Dakota."

"Sarah the general manager was amazing. We had a minor issue with our first room and they were quick to resolve it and move us the next day. We arrived very late so we were fine with waiting until the next day. Sarah was so friendly and helpful. She helped my daughter carry her luggage up the stairs. She personally showed us our room and gave us good tips of what to see in the area. She definitely took care of us. She was so much fun to talk to. We were sad to be checking out. Our room was spacious for our family of 4 and the kids enjoyed having an area to themselves. Will definitely be going back the next time we are in the area. Thank you Sarah!"

The best time to visit Perth is during the late spring and summer months, from May to September, when the weather is generally mild and ideal for exploring. These months offer longer daylight hours, with June and July experiencing the longest days, often staying light until 10 pm or later. This is superb for those who want to make the most of their visit and enjoy extended sightseeing or outdoor activities. The average temperatures during this period range from 15°C to 20°C, providing comfortable conditions for walking around the city centre or venturing out into the surrounding countryside.Couples looking for a relaxing and scenic getaway will particularly appreciate this period. The warmer weather allows for leisurely strolls along the River Tay or through the beautiful Branklyn Garden. Many of Perth's historic sites, like Scone Palace, are fully open during these months, offering a complete visitor experience. The extended daylight also means more opportunities for romantic evening meals at one of Perth's fine dining establishments. For families, the summer months, especially July and August, are ideal. The school holidays coincide with the best weather, making it easier to plan activities such as visiting Perth Leisure Pool or exploring the Black Watch Museum. The numerous parks and green spaces, like the North Inch and South Inch, are superb for picnics and outdoor play when the weather is pleasant. Many local events and festivals also take place during the summer, adding extra entertainment for all ages.
