"What a fun house to vacation in. Very close to beach and view was fantastic. Beds comfortable and showers were nice. Plenty of pressure and hot water. Kitchen pretty well stocked. Ice maker very handy. Elevator was appreciated since some of us had medical limitations. Great to be able to bring family dog for his first trip to the beach. He loved it! Our host made sure we were tucked in and had no needs. Thank you Larry. Hope we treated your house ok. Thanks again."

"Stayed for 4 nights at this nice house that was right on the ocean beach front and had a great time. There were no wooden stairs directly from this property to the beach. We knew about this from previous reviews and it was okay for us to take the short walk to beach access stairs down the road. The owner should consider building access stairs to beach directly from beach house to vastly improve this property. The beach house had 2 nice cover patios on 2nd & 3rd floors with comfort chairs and tables. There were no candles or potable table lights available for patio. The gas grill on ground level was dirty and rusty and needed steam cleaning or maybe total replacement. We chose not to use this gas grill. The owner should consider replacing this old rusty gas grill. The morning of our checkout, the electric power was disconnected at 8AM prior to our checkout at 10AM. This was scheduled electrical work to replace the rusted out main electric panel. The electric contractor would not wait until 10AM after our checkout to start work. We had to carry all our suitcases, coolers and bags down 3 flights of stairs due to elevator not working due to loss of electric power. Contacted the host sponsor, Carolina Coast Retreats, and they offered to send people out to help carry our stuff down the 3 flights of stairs, but we were already done. They gave us a partial refund for our bad checkout experience. We were happy with this compensation and would stay at this great beach house again."

"This property is right in the middle of the sound and the beach with views of both. It's the perfect location with many options of food and things to do and see. It was very easy to contact them with any questions or concerns. They were quick with their responses and very helpful. We would definitely stay here again."

"Property was exactly as listed, clean, and with all the features we were looking for, right on the beach front. The kitchen was well stocked with everything we needed. We appreciated the gates on the beach side deck to keep our dog confined. The host was easy to communicate with. We would love to rent this property again."

"I was nervous about this stay once I saw the reviews, but clearly this place has made improvements since those reviews. You absolutely CANNOT find a place closer to the beach than this house. The wraparound porch was basically where we were the entire time if not on the beach itself. There were minor issues we brought to the attention of the rental company and they responded immediately.The "broken chair" mentioned in past reviews is still there and broken, but it's useable and safe so I can't really say I cared about that.This is not a 5-star resort where everything is perfect. It's a beautiful beach cottage that was exactly what we needed.The rental company stocked us with clean linens, shampoos/conditioners, kitchen soap/sponges, etc. I would absolutely stay here again. "
