We stayed here for one night as we had been to Lands End. We didn’t think there was much in Penzance so decided to go back to the inn for food. We had Fish and Chips and sat in the Garden as the weather was nice. The food was delicious. The staff very friendly and helpful. The Beds were comfy, bathroom a bit small but a great place to stay.

We only had an overnight stay because we were attending a wedding nearby however we wish we'd had more time to experience the pub and food because it looked wonderful. The room was really comfortable and had a wide selection of teas, coffee and milk to cater for all requirements. Oat milk was a big plus for us! Would definitely recommend and would be happy to stay again when we're in the area.

Booked due to proximity to Minack Theatre and it is a good base for exploring the area. Penzance is walkable and it’s a nice area. Bit noisy as the room was directly above the pub, but overall would recommend.

Good location to reach Newlyn.
Friendly staff and welcoming. Only issues are mattress is soft and there aren’t any mirrors either in the bathroom or bedroom. Not a quiet stay with traffic noise and from the pub below.

Arriving at the port, there were no taxis unless pre-booked. The hotel would do well to warn guests... I phoned for advice and it was suggested that I could easily walk it in about 15 mins. However the directions were not great and it took me half an hour of uphill with a heavy wheeled suitcase to pull on a hot afternoon. I arrived very hot and tired. The room was comfortable but noisy, looking out over a busy road and as I was unable to close the sash window.

The Pirate Inn is a local pub, and can be quite busy and noisy on a Saturday night, however the atmosphere is great. The location is good - a short walk to the main shopping area. The room was spacious and comfortable. It's a 300 year old pub, so naturally the floors are crooked! We had an excellent three nights at the Pirate Inn. Recommended.

An overall enjoyable stay and would recommend.
Nice easy going environment. Welcoming staff. A 10 minute walk or short bus ride into town. Sadly no breakfast but I was very happy with what I ate off the menu - a gammon steak platter which sorted me out for the rest of the day after my arrival. Had a nice room (room 3) with plentiful teas, coffee, hot choc laid on overlooking their lovely sunny beer garden, which wasn't so great when I tried to get an afternoon kip on day 2 and a heavy rock band struck up. Unlucky lol, one can't choose to stay at a pub then complain about the noise, so as the old saying goes if you can't beat them join them, so I got out of bed and got a pint. Not my kind of music but the band were good at their game and created a great atmosphere amongst a happy dancing crowd. Only real let down was returning that night to catch last orders before bed only to find that the bar was closed and no other bars nearby, but all the action was earlier on and everyone was tired I guess and everyone else had gone home. I had beers in the room which they also didn't mind. Overall an enjoyable stay and I would have no qualms about booking there if I was to visit Penzance again.
