We love this house and return year after year. The host is lovely - very communicative and helpful. The house is well equipped, comfortable and full of character set in a beautiful vantage point to look down on Sennen Cove and also to watch the sunset. The garden is large and rambling and the kids love it. Highly recommend.

Wonderful Cottage, stunning location

Beautiful cottage with spectacular views across Sennen Cove. Plenty of space, comfortable and welcoming, different garden areas with wonderful views, perfect for a family holiday. A short walk to the shop or down into the bay as well as the coastal path to Land's End. Very dog friendly too. We were all sad to leave.

The perfect cottage for our weekend away.

The cottage is beautifully situated above Sennen Cove with great views of the beach and sea. It is comfortable, quiet, very well appointed and altogether a pleasure to stay in. Given the atrocious weather, the large wood-burning stove was much appreciated, enabling us to dry-out and warm-up after our return from a walk to Land's End. At the end of the weekend we went home congratulating ourselves on having found such a great place to stay.

Beautiful house with amazing view

We had a wonderful stay at Esthers field. Driving up the drive upto the beautiful thatched farmhouse was a wow! Once out of the car, the view over Sennen cove was even more wow. The house is beautiful with a lot of character which the In-laws loved! The rooms are very spacious & cosy, the beds were very comfortable and everyone slept well. Shame we couldnt have spent more time in the beautiful gardens due to the very wincy /wet weather! Would highly recommend this as your next stay at sennen cove. Thank you Jules x

Outstanding Property in a Fantastic Location

Outstanding property in a fantastic location. Listing description was very accurate. Jules provided great customer service, was easy to contact, and very helpful. My husband, two small children, and I stayed at Esther's Field for a lovely seven days. The cottage was very clean and up to date without losing the historic character and charm of a thatched roof cottage. The view from the house is spectacular. The bedrooms and beds were comfortable and spacious. As a first time visitor to Cornwall, Sennen Cove is a great location for some of Cornwall's greatest treasures including Minack Theatre and St. Michael's Mount. We even walked to Land's End with our children along the coastal path accessed directly next to the cottage. My only suggestion would be making dinner reservations well in advance of your holiday for The Beach Restaurant in Sennen Cove. They were completely booked the week we were there. I cannot find a single fault with the property, I only wish we had another week :)

Blissful Retreat

As a holiday property owner myself, I am a bit of a 'fussy' guest, but this cottage was just delightful and we thoroughly enjoyed ourselves here. The views are stunning and the air clean and invigorating. The cottage has gorgeous gardens and we readily gave in to the temptation to lounge about in them and send the children down to the beach for surf school (really cool, in their eyes). Esther's Field is tastefully decorated and furnished. It has the warmth and level of equipment you would expect from a second home, but without giving guests the feeling they are invading someone else's life! The standard of housekeeping is high too, and the beds and soft linen make sleeping a pleasure. We also enjoyed having an en suite for each room, so that there were no bathroom arguments! The children loved the Beach Restaurant and its 'Hot Chocolate with everything' and we were impressed buy the standards it achieved from an adult perspective. A nice bit of marine architecture too. We were so delighted with the cottage and Sennen itself that we did not venture too far afield, despite there being much to lure us in the area. The pure relaxation of Sennen meant that it was difficult to pack up and go home, so we had to promise ourselves that we will come again!

60th birthday celebrations

Fantastic from start to finish. All rooms gorgeous. Comfy beds & all with a private bathroom! Gardens beautiful, breakfast everyday overlooking the beach! Wine last thing at night. Local pubs great & within easy reach. Tip: if there’s going to be a good sunset walk along Maria’s Lane towards lands end thru an iron gate & watch the sunset from the stones. WOW

Traumhafter Urlaub

Dieses wunderschöne Cottage können wir nur in den höchsten Tönen loben. Es ist wunderschön, perfekt ausgestattet, es fehlte uns an nichts. Und der Ausblick ist atemberaubend. Egal ob der Kaffee am Morgen oder der Aperitif am Abend ist mit diesem Ausblick ein absolutes Highlight. Wir (5 Erwachsene und 3 Teenager) haben den Urlaub wahnsinnig genossen und kommen gerne wieder. Die Kommunikation mit Jules war hervorragend und es wurden alle Wünsche erfüllt. Wir können diese Unterkunft bestens empfehlen.

Beeinduckendes Haus trohnend über Sennen

Es war sehr toll! Das Haus war riesig und renoviert. Es hat uns an nichts gefehlt!! Wir konnten kochen, waschen, trocknen, Feuer machen, in den Garten sitzen,... Das Haus hat sehr viel Charme und ist auch schon sehr alt und hat gewiss viele spannende Geschichten zu erzählen. Die Betten waren sehr bequem und alles wurde stilgetreu genoviert. Theoretisch hat das Haus eine der tollsten Aussichten die man sich vorstellen kann. Nur leider sah man diese im Haus nicht wirklich, nur wenn man sich direkt ans Fenster lehnte. Denn die sind sehr klein und sitzen hoch. Das Haus ist eher rustikal mit dem alten knarzenden Dielenboden und hellhörig da wohl die Geschossen nur ein Dielenboden trennt, erwas feucht. Aber wir waren nur mit 3 Erwachsenen und 2 Kindern im Haus, das ging dann :-) super war der extra Wohntrakt den unser Freund bewohnte, dann hatte er etwas Privatsphäre. Und der Treffpunkt in der Mitte war die Küche. Der extra Wohntrakt hatte eine eigene Eingangstüre, Bad, Klo und Schlafzimmer mit super Ausblick ind ein Dachfenster über dem Bett wo man die Sterne beobachten konnte. Er hatte auch als einziges bodentiefe Fenster für vollen Ausblick. Netlix oder viel TV Sender gab es nicht, aber dafür eine interessante Büchersammlung :-) auf jeden Fall alles insgesamt eine tolle Erfahrung!

Beautiful Cottage

Esther’s Field is the perfect cottage to enjoy the south Cornwall coast. The cottage is really well equipped with comfortable beds, cosy rooms and the most amazing views. We spent a really happy week here and would love to come back

Coastal idyll

We have stayed at Esther’s Field a number of times now. The gardens are beautiful and spacious and our boys love exploring there. It’s a short (though steep) stroll down to the beach and the pictures, stunning as they are, don’t do it justice. And what a pleasure to meet Jules in person, who was welcoming and considerate. Couldn’t recommend highly enough.

An unforgettable holiday

Esther’s Field is in a perfect location for experiencing the magnificence of Sennen Cove. It was a joy to wake up each morning to hear - and see the sea, and to sit in the sun in the garden. We were very lucky with the weather! The house, especially the kitchen and sitting/dining room are well equipped with ample space for eating together and relaxing in the evening after a long day on the beach or walking on the cliffs.
