"This boutique motel was heavenly. The night previous we had stayed a very unclean motel that looked cool in pictures but was not cool in person! El Rey is the opposite, it is nicer in person and has a very relaxing atmosphere. All the rooms are decorated artistically and are very clean. My kid loved the spa and sauna. The beds were so comfortable that we stayed an extra night to sip on hot cocoa and enjoy a yummy dinner from La Reina while we watched a bit of TV. There were so many picturesque places to sit under trees and relax in the courtyard. I caught some good music and a tarot reading, so cool! I wished we could stay a week! Every member of staff was kind and helpful. We will miss the vibes of El Rey and hope to be back very soon. <3"
"The room had not been cleaned, and therefore I could not check in even at 4 o’clock. The noise from the next-door room is very loud. The rooms are not soundproof very well. Those are my biggest complaints."
"Classic old fashioned motel layout, which makes getting your luggage into the room easier. But the room and bathroom have been updated, making it a comfortable place to stay. If you have a car to park, this is the perfect place to stay in Albuquerque — the hotel only charges $10 a night for a space in a capacious surface lot located next to the old town area."
"We were met with courteous staff and our accommodations were spacious. Got va great nights sleep, will definitely come back for a longer stay. Took advantage of restaurants and shops in walking distance. "
