Cabin #12 is a spacious & upscale stand-alone, two bedroom cabin which has been completely remodeled and sleeps four adults. It is nestled on a hillside with unobstructed views of Lake Henshaw, the surrounding San Diego Mountain chain and the lush valley below. Its also our largest cabin on the property. There's loads of sunlight to set the mood bright and to make your stay even more memorable, we offer a wood-burning fireplace, a fully stocked kitchen, granite counter top, a large flat screen TV, and a cozy couch to snuggle up on.
We always knew if we rebuilt it, they would come! This cabin is one of 11 to choose from at the San Diego Mountain Lodge located at Hideout Mountain- a boutique retreat destination on 40 acres of unspoiled nature with an unbelievably cool, one-of-a-kind historic bar and grill called Josie’s Hideout Saloon. This is a quiet getaway to enjoy the natural environment surrounding this property. The room was very clean, comfortable, and had a nice Keurig coffeemaker with a variety of choices to taste. The kitchen had everything you need to cook a meal. The beds are very comfortable with soft comforters. A lot of work has gone into making one's stay here enjoyable.

Everything about this gem is wonderful! Perfect location for those of us visiting Josie's. The view from the porch is breathtakingly beautiful. It's quite, completely updated, both beds and shower are amazing. If you're on a bike, FYI the road is gravel but completely manageable. Property Manager was great too. Super flexible and accommodating. We will definitely be back for another getaway ♥️

Absolutely easy check in. Cabin was very clean. Amazing views. Nice and quiet area. Very cozy feeling when you walk in. Only thing I would even have to say was, wish there was a fire pit outside. However, that does not take away from the amazing experience. Thank you so much for being able to enjoy with my family.

My husband and I were looking for a pet friendly place to escape the 4th of July noise. This little cabin was a perfect pick for us. We did not hear one single firework the entire night. The cabin is small but it provides you with all that you will need for a comfortable stay, including: Netflix, wifi, air conditioning/heating, kitchen with stove, refrigerator, microwave and a Keurig to help you get your coffee fix, a nice bathroom with spa level shampoo, conditioner and body wash and two small bedrooms with double beds. This cabin has a nice view of Lake Henshaw and don’t forget to star gaze at night. We could even see the Milky Way! A huge thank you to Alan, the property manager, for being so accommodating.

Everything was very serene and the views were great. Wish the listing told you to bring firewood for the fireplace though. I believe it only says to bring firewood for the outdoor pit? The property manager was nice enough to give us some pieces of wood. However, The lighter provided inside cabin was out of fluid so we could not properly start the fire. It was too late to go to the store or contact property manager. We still had a good time, just a bummer as the fireplace was the main reason we wanted the cabin. The beds were comfy and the space is nicely laid out. However, the cabin has a bad case of woodpeckers. After a late night, we woke up at 5:30 am to the woodpeckers and they never stopped. There are clear holes all over the window areas on cabin so I assume the property knows. A fake owl or some treatment needs to be done there. Other than the fireplace and not being able to sleep, it was a cute place that we’d enjoy going to again if those problems were to be addressed. Beautiful view of the lake and trails as well!
