First, the negative-Squeaky bathroom door and the exhaust fan needed maintenance & cleaning. Now for the praise-We felt welcome every moment, almost as if we instantly became part of the family. No pretense anywhere. And the coffee they serve was really, really, good.

This hotel is very centrally located. This is it's good feature. Rooms are very old, I estimate at least 65 years oldand have not been very well maintained. All doors, windows, floors, bathroom fixtures were defective or on the verge of breaking. This includes all locks, latches and hinges. None of the windows or doors were weatherproof or soundproof, which made for particularly cold, humid and noisy rooms. The hotel advertises as pet-friendly. However, pet rooms are not designated so you may end up with a room which has a definite pet smell. Windows have no blinds, so lights from corridors cannot be blocked. Standard hotel amenities are not present. Such as air conditioning or heating in the rooms, so no way to clean the atmosphere or dry the air in the room. There is no parking at this hotel, although you may park at the very narrow, sloped street at your own risk. There is paid parking nearby, but with very limited capacity. The hotel advertises free WiFi, but the existing one has extremely poor quality of service. I was unable to connect throughout my entire stay. There is not staffed reception or regular service. You may have to wait for someone to appear at the reception desk and no chance of asking for extra linens afterhours, for example. Showers are extremely loud. You cannot hold a conversation in our room if the neighboring room's shower is being used. Linens, pillows and towels have a moldy smell. There are many other better places to stay in Patzcuaro.

Dear anonima,We are responding to your comments about your stay with us. The properties in Patzcuaro are old and historic, the Posada Yolihuani is 163 years old, but the building where you were staying is 12 years old. After your departure we checked the room accessories, which we found in perfect condition. We are in winter and at 2250 m of altitude, it is cold, but your room, like all the others, has a very efficient gas heater, the windows of the room where you stayed have thick curtains and a wooden interior volet that insulates completely from the outside, cold and light, the big bed is equipped with an hypoallergenic feather duvet specially made for low temperatures. The bed linen, sheets and napkins, are dried in the sun when the weather allows it, and if not, they are machine dried. The WIFI needs to be more powerful and we are changing it by tripling its range, which was foreseen. We are always willing to receive criticism when it is constructive and objective, but stating that the rooms "could" smell of animals because we are PetsFriendly is, as you put it, your assumption and not a reality. Patzcuaro is a small colonial town with cobblestone streets, some narrow and in many cases sloping, but we have a parking lot for guests two blocks away. 24 hours a day we have a friendly staff to attend to our guests, at night there is a watchman to whom you can turn to for any need. We hope that your return trip to Argentina will be without delay.Sincerely

Patzcuaro getaway
Our stay was wonderful. Check in was ready and waiting for us. Eric and Balam were both very helpful in giving us advice on nearby pueblos. The room was comfortable and authentic....the grounds beautiful. I will stay there again and highly recommend it.

Central location with very helpful staff
Located a block from the Plaza Grande, with beautifully done courtyard. The room was large and very clean with everything we needed. Eric speaks Spanish, French, and English, and was very helpful in planning some of our activities. The coffee was excellent and the pastries were wonderful. We really enjoyed Semana Santa, and staying here made it easy and comfortable.

Que agradable
This is a lovely, small, hotel located within walking distance of the town plaza and once patios. The spacious room is tastefully decorated and the king bed comfortable. The genteel host serves coffee in the morning but if you want more you must take the short hike down the hill to a restaurant on the square. They have wi-fi but no tv. There was plenty of hot-water for my morning shower and each room is equipped with fresh water and there is more in the corridor. The only thing they lacked that I needed was Kleenex, a small quibble.

The grounds are beautiful at Posada Yolihuani. The family that runs it seemed to always be around to help us or answer any questions. Bed were comfortable...not over the top luxurious, but for Mexico they were better than expected. LOVED the down comforter, it kept us really toasty on cool nights. The owners were also excellent at giving us ideas for our visit and providing directions.

Very nice hotel
Hotel was very clean. Very hot water! Quick walk to the center. Breakfast was included in our stay. And it was wonderful and very filling. Tea and coffee and Mexican pastry. Then he brought us yogurt with fruit topped with granola and different types of seeds. Then fresh juice and on the first day scrambled eggs with ham and small salad from his garden. Second day was enchiladas with beans. Very filling. Also hotel had a very safe feeling. With a locked gate to the hotel. And a safe walk to the center. Center had shops, cafes, restaurants. I would stay there again. Try to stay on the weekend. A lot more activity and things to see.

Get a thousand winks for your dollar.
A little difficult to find, NOT listed on the GPS, and an extra 150 pesos for the pet friendly entrance for our small mascot. The room has no view, but it is a short walk to historical part of Mexico. Lots of artisan shops, and a quiet stay. No coffee in the rooms, but helpful hotel staff.

chiquito y bonito hotel en Patzcuaro
el hotel esta muy bonito y bien ubicado, la atencion es personlizada y muy buena. Creo q a las habitaciones les falta un poco de luz es parte del encanto, ( ademas de q trata de ser ecologico, se pueden poner focos led de bajo consumo y muchas masiluminacion). tambien creo q el shampoo reusado puede ser un ´problema de higiene, aunque sea con fin ecologico. Lo q no me gusto es q me cargaran el costo del hotel una semana antes de ingresar, a pesar de q en la reservacion estableci pago en el hotel al momento de registrarme.

Muchas gracias por su comentario, es un placer atender a nuestros huespedes. La Posada Yolihuani busca ser cada vez mas ecologica y estamos reemplazando sistematicamente los focos por Led, y la basura organica esta composteada. El bote de shampoo no es reusado, pero de uso permanente para evitar contaminacion plastica, mas sin embargo lo desinfectamos con un producto de tipo hospitalario, al igual que la habitacion en general, las cortinas, muebles, grifos, baño etc. Somos muy precavidos con la desinfeccion y hemos reforzado aun mas nuestro protocolo de sanidad despues de la pandemia de COVID. En relacion al cobro de la habitacion, segun los lineamientos de la posada, se puede cobrar 5 dias previos a la llegada del huesped. Esperamos que regrese, y mientras le mandamos saludos muy cordiales.

Este es un lugar MAGICO!! Se los recominedo ampliamente. La dueña Vicky es fenomenal y amigable al igual que su sobrino. Mi papá y yo visitamos Pátzcuaro y tuvimos una experiencia bellísima en la Posada. La arquitectura y diseño son espectaculares, el desayuno super rico y hecho en casa. Vicky sabe mucho del lugar y nos trataron super bien. Es un lugar tranquilo y muy acogedor. Cada cuarto es diferente. Es muy limpio. No busques más.

Es la segunda vez que me hospedo en la posada Yolihuani, y creo que no hay otro hotel donde se pueda sentir la calidez de estar en Pátzcuaro. El estilo, la comodidad y el servicio de la gente que trabaja en la posada, hacen que te sientas súper cómodo. Enhorabuena por este tipo de hoteles y servicios.

Lo recomiendo, es un lugar muy lindo.
Es un lugar muy hermoso, es muy tranquilo, se siente un paz muy distinta, es muy acogedor en general, lo recomiendo, si su plan es descansar, esta a 5 minutos caminando de la plaza vasco de quiroga, y a pocos pasos de la casa de los 11 patios, yo viaje con mi mama y nos la pasamos muy bien y descansamos de lo mejor. Nuestro cuarto no contaba con TV, no se si eso es bueno o malo, el wifi funciono muy bien, sin problema. La hora del checkin y checkout fue muy ágil, recibimos recomendaciones y tips para conocer los alrededores. Nos recibieron de forma muy amable Solo un par de recomendaciones para que nuestra estancia hubiera sido excelente es que para el momento del desayuno, les falta ser puntuales y a mi consideración, servirlo mas temprano y la atención del mismo aunque no fue mala, si fue muy lenta, demasiado, lo cual pienso que si afecta a los huéspedes y su itinerario, así también que, debería estar alguien en recepción, pasa mucho tiempo vació y si alguien requiere de algo, pues no hay a quien acudir. Tal vez y solo tal vez, dependiendo del bolsillo de cada persona, me pareció algo elevado el costo del cuarto, si se comprar costo beneficio de la estancia, pero eso ya depende de cada quien. En general lo recomiendo mucho, y si volvería, sin dudarlo!

Buenas tardes, Le agradecemos por sus comentarios y nos das gusto que su estancia fue placentera, efectivamente no tenemos televisión en las habitaciones y lo mencionamos en las informaciones de la posada, es una decisión voluntaria y nuestros huéspedes nos lo agradecen porque se desconectan y pueden disfrutar del entorno con tranquilidad. Lo sentimos si les pareció un poco lento el servicio del desayuno, lo tomamos en cuenta, todos los alimentos que servimos son frescos y preparados en el momento. Posada agradable, cercana a la Plaza Mayor
La posada está muy bien ubicada a una cuadra de la plaza Vasco de Quiroga; el lugar es confortable, tranquilo y tiene una decoración característica de la región, con jardines cuidados que permiten despertar con el trino de los pájaros. Los anfitriones y el personal son personas amables y serviciales.

La posada está muy bien ubicada. Las habitaciones son de buen tamaño e incluyen todo lo necesario para la estancia. El lugar es divino y lleno de detalles que la hacen especial. La atención es maravillosa. Recomendable al 100 por ciento. Regresaremos muy pronto.
