"The historic Colony Resort had just closed for the season, but we thoroughly enjoyed our stay in their more modern and simple Coveside Building which backs up to the beautiful woods and tidal creek on the same resort grounds. Our room had a balcony with chairs allowing us to enjoy the view and fresh air. The room was nicely decorated and featured a Nespresso Coffee Maker, refrigerator, very large screen TV, a very comfortable king size bed and pillows, desk, and a walk in shower bath area. Check in is at the nice market just below the hotel. There are many restaurants in walking distance and the market offers a coffee barista, grab and go foods as well as wine, beer, and other market items. We were lucky enough to discover the Port Fish & Chop House in the historic Breakwater Inn across the street which has delicious dinners as well as wonderful cocktails prepared by Keith, the very kind bartender. We highly recommend the Coveside at the Colony Hotel."

"What a wonderful week!! Easy check in with provided code, house was very clean and so cozy. They did a fantastic job with the decor to make it feel like home. Plenty of blankets/pillows/towels and well stocked kitchen. Amazing location, a short walk to a really cool trail and plenty of places to fish/explore. If you’re into running/walking, you can take that trail all the way to Gooch’s Beach (2 miles) passing Mother’s Beach and Middle Beach. It was stunning! One thing to consider is that it’s on a main road, but you wouldn’t know from the back yard which was a great place to end the day with string lights and a comfortable fire pit. Hosts were very responsive. Highly recommend! Hope to return!"
