3 Bedroom, 2 Full bathroom Pet friendly cottage.

This beautiful resort cottage is designer decorated, with coastal charm and lots of white airy furniture. You will find all the amenities needed to make your stay as enjoyable as possible. With two bedrooms and one bathroom on the main floor, a separate bedroom with on suite bathroom in the loft area, and a queen sofa bed in the living room, this cottage comfortably sleeps eight. The kitchen is equipped with everything needed to prepare meals and dine in comfort while the open concept floor plan makes it easy to visit with friends and family.

Come back from the beach and have dinner on the patio, enjoy a family game night or cozy up for a movie on the reclining armchairs, sit by the gas fireplace with a good book, and enjoy the beauty of your West Coast surroundings – Mermaid Cottage will be the perfect vacation spot for the whole family.

You are welcome to bring your up to 2 dogs with manager approval only.

The cottage community is along popular Resort Drive in Parksville BC and offers a heated indoor pool with hot tub and an overlooking gym area. Also located in the complex is a mini golf course with bumper cars and laser tag, a small bistro/coffee house, a day spa and hair salon. This is a great location within walking distance to Rathtrevor provincial park and its huge sandy beach, restaurants, great spas, old growth forests, nice hiking and bike trails.

Great location! Plenty of room and a very comfortable, clean cottage. The beds were also very comfortable and the loft bedroom and ensuite were perfect for our teenager! I would definitely stay again and recommend the cottage to anyone looking for accommodation for a larger group in that area.

Kitchen was very well stocked and organized. Bedrooms were just right for our group and the location meant we could enjoy the area and not get in our car everyday.

Great cottage!

We stayed here for 6 nights and had a blast! The cottage is close to a lot of great things to see and do, the facilities at the village were also great, the pool area was very well looked after. The cottage is furnished great and was cery comfortable for my family, wish we could have stayed longer.

The property is wonderful. Manager was awesome. Only issue was pump on pool broke day of arrival, but we were able to use nearby resort pool at no extra cost. Definitely staying here again. Thank you for such a nice visit.

Relaxing, short getaway

We had a great stay. The place was clean and comfortable. The kitchen was very well equipped. Dahlia responded to all our questions in a timely manner. The only downside was that for the time we were there, the hot tub was not functioning properly.

Family getaway

My mother, my sister and myself stated this property with her two small doodles. The area is fabulous and across from the ocean and close to any amenity that you need in the woods, but having everything you need for your comforts.

Mermaid cottage stay

We loved the cottage and all of the furnishings. The kitchen was very well equipped with plenty of dishes, glasses etc. The barbecue worked great the outdoor area was good as well! The kids loved the pool. Also the mini golf, bumper cars, and ice cream parlour. Arcade was fun too!

Wonderful stay at Mermaid Cottage

We had a wonderful family vacation at the Mermaid Cottage. The space was well equipped with everything you need to enjoy a vacation in Parksville. The beds were comfortable, the kitchen was well stocked, and there were thoughtful additions such as beach chairs and games. The bbq was excellent. The location was perfect. Our kids biked around the complex, enjoyed the ice cream at mini golf and loved the pool. It was so close to Rathtrevor and Coombes. Highly recommend. Great host!

Christmas spent with Family

I was very pleased with the location to amenities, the cleanliness, it was fully stocked with all you need. Also, the Quiet and Peacefulness, Being surrounded by Nature and the Friendliness of Everyone. Our Host, Dahlia was Excellent in response. and accommodating to early arrival and a extra hour for check out. Definitely would come back to stay at Mermaid cottage

Staying in the Mermaid Cottage

My wife and I (from Regina) winter in Parkskville every January & February for the past 6 years. We always stay at Oceanside Village Resort. We usually rent our cottage (which is the same as The Mermaid Cottage) from the resort when we do our snow birding. My wife had surgery in late December and we had to cancel our usual stay. We picked an open time in early April to early May that was open at the Mermaid Cottage. It is a wonderful unit. The loft, which is usually open in most Cypress units is enclosed. This was fantastic as our daughter was coming to visit us with her significant other (who is from Ottawa and a first time visitor to the island) and stayed in this bedroom giving them extra privacy. Our son had the front bedroom and we the master bedroom. We did not use the sofa, but it, too could be opened into a bed. I especially enjoyed the 2 reclining chairs with footrests. All of our family was impressed with this cottage. The access to the swimming pool, hot tub/sauna and small work out are is easy and very close. Some of my highlights were - all the kitchen utensils (dishes, cutlery, cups, glasses, plates were like brand new. I was impressed that all the cutting knives in the cutting block were sharp. It is a new natural gas BBQ with a side burner (no propane bottle to worry about) and the gas was turned on already. The decor is very nice. We had a fantastic stay. I highly recommend this cottage.
