"Friendly staff, very good breakfast, near the train station, clean room, relaxed environment. "

"Staff were not friendly and we felt uncomfortable at check-in and asking questions during our 2 night stay. Buffet breakfast was good. We knew it was an Ibis budget hotel but there is no privacy for anyone in the room to go to the bathroom or shower. Barely enough room for carry-on sized luggage. I would not recommend for anyone travelling with full sized luggage."

"Hotel Pestalozzi made our trip! The breakfast is so convenient and good. Staff answered so many of our questions (posted mail, gave us recommendations and directions, etc.). It’s central to so many things, and we could see the lake from our room. Fantastic hotel!"

"This hotel has eveything you might need with well maintained rooms. The staff were extremely friendly and knowledgeable. We received a welcome gift of Swiss chocolate, breakfast was well organized and foods were kept supplied. Coffees offered were plentiful and good. This hotel is right down the funicular from the Lugano train station.....no lugging your baggage, just wonderful!! If I were to be in Lugano again, this is the hotel where I would stay again!"

"One of the best 3* properties I have ever stayed in, should really be a 4* but I guess they don't staff the bar. It has a pool and terrace overlooking Lake Lugano, it has a great little honesty bar, where you can relax. I left at 5 am so did not try the breakfast. The room was very comfortable, I had a solo room as it was just me and would definitely stay here again. The staff were so friendly and helpful in every way, especially in making a reservation for a great little local spot. Marvellous."
