"La Mezzaluna is a short walk from Barga Gallicano train station, and buses to Lucca. Rita is amazingly hospitable & welcoming, and did so much to make our stay enjoyable. Rooms are very nice, buffet breakfast set us up for the day.
There is a bus up to Barga during the day, and a taxi back in evening.If you visit Barga, this is the place to stay. "

"What a find! We went as a large family group, so to have separate apartments for each individual family worked out perfectly for us. Their accommodation was well equipped immaculately clean and comfortable.Some of our part of a clean cyclist, so to any cyclist it’s an absolute Mecca, but you have to like hills! "

"We are a family of three with teen daughter. The house is lovely, quality furnishings inside and out with comfy beds and seating areas. The pool with stunning views was everything we wanted and needed as our stay was during the heatwave. The terrace with friendly lizards was the perfect spot to start the day with a coffee and end the day with a drink. We loved the place inside and out and felt at home immediately. We will miss it and would love to come back one day. "

"Very traditional Tuscan property, lovely neighbourhood, next door neighbour nice,friendly and helpful coffee shop. Home restaurant lovely and a great experience, roads are a bit windy and narrow in places, car is essential to visit Places. Church bells take a bit of getting used to."

"High in the hills and cooler as a result thankfully as we came from Rome where it was 38 degrees. Pool lovely. Setting beautiful. Car vital. Hosts delightful. We’d come back we loved it so much. Food at restaurant around corner is really good value and excellent. We took train to Lucca for the day once which made a nice day out."
