Great location and very helpful staff. A/C worked beautifully. Internet not so much. Not luxurious, but most things work. Papantla is not on the tourist trail but nearby El Tajín does draw visitors, and many stay here. If you want luxury hotels, stay in Poza Rica. If you prefer a charming Mexican town and real local flavor, stay here. Just don’t expect the Hilton.

The hotel has excellent location for walks in the town and easy access to market, dinning option and the main church. The room we were hosted at didn't have a working tool for restriction of access, so we set a chair at the door in order to limit access. The pool area furniture was broken and not usefull to sunbathing; even the flowerpot was broken. This hotel is in urgent need for maintenance!

The wifi did not work in the hotel, which is completely unacceptable. I tried in 4 different rooms, but the signal was so weak in all that it was impossible to connect to the internet and I had to go to the restaurants in the main square nearby to get a connection. The hotel is run down and needs to be completely renovated. The room was cleann the bed was comfortable and there was plenty of hot water in the bathroom.

Close to everything in the town. Best location. Even though No hot water, just Luke warm and wifi virtually useless would stay again for location and friendliness. Only $100 pesos to go to ruins and $80 pesos back.

Considering this is an old town, this is a good option. I wish management will consider do some upgrades to the building, it looks and feels old. I liked walking distance to downtown and markets

This hotel is not maintained at all. The pictures of this hotel are great compared to the real thing when you get there. No hot water, wifi did not work, and parking for your car is 3 blocks away.

It was good but I had poor attitude during stay. Uphill walk from bus station and the the steps at the entrance really tipped my mood. Otherwise staff were friendly room was quite and clean. Fresh towels even mouthwash. Retuarants were both good at the price.

The property was nice and clean. There is a restaurant connected to hotel. The center of the town is right down the hill making everything close to the hotel.

Our first room here was not good. Too much mold in the room. I asked for a change and they put us on the third floor. Much nicer. The staff were excellent and helpful. The restaurant attached to the hotel was also very good.

Not what you expect.
We arrived in the evening, tired...had a hard time finding the hotel...its location is centeralized but too complicated. The young man that was there..he kept saying the parking lot was across the street to the east...that was not so, the parking lot was down the hill in an alley an a dirt lot behind a black door. It seamed to be the back yard of an olderly couple, who were very nice and helful. Going back to the hotel was something else..getting there..i asked the young man to turn the light so i can open my room door..that was an issue.. I asked what time was breakfast..if you gave questions keep it too yourself or ask everybody else that don't work in the hotel...that's how I found the parking lot. The second day was better, maybe because we left.

Fun near Zocalo
Great location. Clean. Fun decor. Swimming pool was good but a little early in the year for it. Wifi was good. El Tajin was great

The room had no cold water and the pressure was down to drips. It wasn’t pleasant to shower. The new restaurant in the back is much better but we didn’t even discover it until our last night. Great location in the town!

Great place - value for money
Spent 2 nights in Papantla which itself is already a great town to visit and just switch off...The hotel is at the prime location with the central plaza right next to it.Room was very clean - the service team does a good job - and had all ammenities needed.

Excellent location. Low price, good hotel
The hotel is located only half a block from the main square. It is quite clean and the staff very nice and helpful. The price is quite reasonable

Nice hotel with the best restaurant in town
Have your taxi drop you off at the rear of the facility. Otherwise the lobby is about 60 steep steps above the street.

If your expecting a 5 star hotel, this is not the place for you. It has all the basic needs, including a/c the most important thing. The town, although it has a lot of tourism it very quit and relaxed. Visiting the pyramids El Tajin, is a must do.

Great place to park for a night.
I really wanted to see the El Tajin ruins. Found this hotel that is surprisingly nice for an old place in a small-ish town. Beautiful pool area and great staff. Enjoy the nightlife in the zocalo when you arrive, then get up early to explore El Tajin. If you're lucky enough, you will be the only one there. About a $70p ride from the hotel.

Not good at all. The gentleman at the reception told us we didn't have and Expedia reservation and rudely made us wait for a couple of hours standing there. He finally found it and told us they had sold out the rooms by accident. Eventually gave us the 2 worse rooms. Extremely rude and unprofessional. Quite possibly my worse stay ever.

La habitación, una Junior Suite, era pequeña. Una cama king size demasiado grande para la habitación. Las instalaciones estaban limpias pero el hotel se ve cansado, falta mantenimiento. El personal es atento pero no servicial. La comida del restaurante Totonaco es bastante buena. La ubicación es un plus, pues se está a media cuadra de la plaza principal.
