This is a beautiful home and property. Very comfortable and has everything you might need during your stay. The host were very helpful and quickly answered any questions.
Tranquil. Clean. RoomyIf you are into nature, fishing, boating and quiet this is perfect. If you want sandy beaches, it is a bit of a drive, but doable.Restaurants are iffy about being open.
We enjoyed our stay on Ocholocknee Bay very much. The house was clean, neat and nicely furnished and the hosts were friendly, helpful and attentive. The view over the bay was beautiful and the neighborhood was quiet. A nice beach is just down the road and there are great parks and good restaurants nearby. We recommend it without reservations.
A great place to relax and enjoy the view. Sunroom was awesome and inviting. Small stretch of beach to enjoy the sun without the crowds. My friend and I are older so it was prefect for us but it also had kayaks for the younger crowd. I will definitely book again.
A little disappointed that the dock was not usable. Both mattresses on the twin beds were very uncomfortable, the same with the couch and loveseat - all handles for the reclining seats were broken off and their seats are not very comfortable, I assume just worn down over many years. Queen/king beds were great, and very good internet. This would be a great rental house if the furniture was updated.
Big open common area with Kitchen/living room, with plenty if room to eat, play ganes, have a movie night with three big bedrooms with awesome queen mattresses, we slept well! The 4th bedroom has two twin beds which was great for the bigger kids and the sleeper couch in the sunroom was great for the smaller kids.
We enjoyed using the kayaks, fishing, exploring nature, finding hermit crabs, sand castles, etc...we also went to the Aquarium nearby, Alligator Point to fish for baby sharks and swim, Mash Sands Beach at low tide to see all the creatures...St. Marks Lighthouse and took our boat to go scalloping.
Great trip!
Nice older home -- BR TV didn't work. Shower head leaked. Recliner handles broken and not very comfortable. Felt like grit/sand on the tile floor when we arrived. But overall -- since it's a older home - it was expected. We had a good time -- even w 20 degree weather.
We had an amazing week long stay at the Cottage. The listing is precise to the amenities and location! We saw the beautiful white squirrel almost every day we were there. The dolphins showed up the first night for a short period of time, but the last night we were there they put on a full show of blowing, jumping completely out of the water flipping around for a good hour or so right out in-front of us. We absolutely loved it. Everything we needed was there. Toiletries, dish soap, laundry detergent, plates, cups, etc. You name it, it was there. The property manager and owner were exceptional. Immediately responded to any questions before and during our stay. Went above and beyond to make sure everything was provided to make our stay perfect. The sun room was the place to be for sunrise, and out of the sand gnats. The sunsets were as always, breath taking! Panacea has always been our family’s go to for trips, and the Cottage was perfect for us! The ONLY recommendation I have for the future is the dock being rebuilt. Other than that, the property was perfect and we loved our stay. We will definitely be back. Thanks Jodi and Patti for being awesome and so accommodating for us.
Big and beautiful house. Picture of pier was misleading being that it was the neighbors and the pier for this house is completely dismantled and unusable. Besides that, the house was great. Beautiful sunroom that we loved sitting in.
We had the best accommodations that we had EVER had. The home is emaculent and perfect. It was clean, lots of space/room, supplied with anything you could possibly need. Outside decks were spacious and pleasant to hang out. Saw white squirrels and a dolphin or two. Would defiantly recommend and return to.
We had a wonderful stay at Cottage on the Bay! House was a perfect set up with plenty of space and privacy. We loved the deck and sun room. We saw dolphins, white squirrels, different birds as well has having an Egret fly up on deck for an up-close visit. Host was amazing to work with. Looking forward to staying again in the future.
This home was perfect for our group! The location was quiet and peaceful, our elderly neighbor came out to speak multiple times, the property manager was amazing, home had everything we could need! The dock pictured is no longer there, which was upsetting to my fishing husband lol Loved the home and everything about it!
The location was quiet, peaceful and beautiful. The house fitted our needs. The beds were very comfortable. Our favorite room in the house was the sun room. We spent most of our indoor time in there relaxing. We even had a daily visit from otters & white squirrels. The house does need a little TLC though. The dishwasher & washing machine leaked.
Pier no longer there, some porch windows wouldn’t close, recliners didn’t work, 1 burner doesn’t work, place needs some TLC.
Location quiet & secluded.
This location on Ochlockonee Bay was beautiful and a great location for traveling to the surrounding sites. Loved waking in the morning to the sunrises and kicking back in the evening to watch the sunsets.
Quaint little home with everything you need. Beautiful location along the forgotten coast of Florida. Perfect staging spot if you are a sportsmen or love hiking/biking state and national parks. Pretty beach close enough to walk to at the end of the road. Homeowner is very nice and communicates clearly. Great little spot on the bay!
