Disliked: Cleanliness, check-in, communication, listing accuracy
Review on VRBO advertised property and managed by Oranj Palm vacations in Palm Springs.
The management company were easily the worst I've ever encountered. Firstly, they added an exorbitant price as a management fee on top of VRBO rental. Check in between 3 and 5pm - I arrived at 3.30pm, the property was locked and I had no communication that this time was delayed. I called only to be advised that the cleaning manager had gone to purchase linen and would be back, so I waited on driveway for ~ 1 hour. The cleaning done was not thorough, dust and fluff remained on furniture and behind the couch. The couch had multiple stains - cleaned several days later. I washed the cushion covers myself. The windows or patio doors were not cleaned The front door had a layer of dust that was disgusting. The cleaners returned the next day to do some of the cleaning, the dust behind couch remained. The laundry area in garage was less than clean They broom closet was filthy. Cleaning supplies, paper towels and toilet rolls were extremely skimpy requiring me to shop for all immediately. Each time I connected with a person at Oranj Palm and tried to re-connect I was told the person no longer worked there! Its now nearly 4 weeks since I checked out and I have had zero communication including no reconciliation of my utility deposit which they are holding in their bank account. Please advise how VRBO works with those types of companies. This entire experience was the 'worst'. The service absolutely did not live up to expectations and can only be described as 'shady' and extremely poor value for money.
