"Good hotel, should have looked closer at the details as we did not realize the shower was fully visible from the bed with no way to hide your naked body. Staff were very accomodating and brought us a make shift privacy curtain! Make sure you choose the upgraded room if you need the privacy! "

"Valet guys were very nice, so was the woman who I checked out with. The room had a funny smell and everything in the hotel seemed pretty basic and nothing special. Surprisingly wasn’t too noisy for being in DTLA but there were a few homeless outside and rummaging through the garbage. Just a step up from a Motel 6 with a better location. Breakfast sucked and portions were small, wasn’t worth the money even with my 20% off discount. Probably wouldn’t go back."

"Breakfast is expensive. We found Cherry Pick on Hill Street to be a better option, about 1/2 mile away. There are lots of Asian restaurants, walk out the restaurant to the street and go right. Staff were nice. Room was ok."

"The hotel was ok, was harassed by a security guard and kept up by noise and all they did was comp our parking and resort fee one night. Definitely won’t be back"

"I really wanted to like this place because the location is great and the pictures make it look super cute and boutique-y, but it ended up being really disappointing. The bathroom was honestly awful. The shower head was broken and spraying water everywhere. Once the hot water finally got going (which took a while), there was this insanely loud screeching noise that wouldn’t stop unless you turned the faucet all the way off. On top of that, there were random super loud rumbling noises coming from behind the wall (maybe the water heater?), which made it even worse. There were also old soap drips/suds still on the wall before I even used the shower, and the toilet paper shelf was grimy and looked really old. The floors were filthy. I walked around barefoot for a minute and when I stepped into the shower, my feet were literally covered in black dirt. The beds were uncomfortable and SO creaky. Even just changing positions made loud noises, which made it hard to sleep. There were also just a bunch of weird/neglected details—like strips of tape hanging down from the ceiling (probably from old decorations?), and some dried yellow/orange substance dripping down the wall above the staircase. The whole unit smelled musty. The pictures are pretty misleading. The downstairs bar is way smaller than it looks and feels awkward to sit in because you’re basically right next to the check-in staff. No one explained how to access the rooftop area or if it was even open. "

"The location of this hotel is great. Great mexican food, burger joint, liquor store, lounge and a coffee roaster within a block or literally next door. The renovated rooms are good, I'd say they are only good for sleeping in and having a wash. The black paint and blackout curtains can make you sleep in especially with great bed and pillows. The layout isn't really one to hangout in. There isn't a dining table but you do get a super long counter top and just one chair. I'd say go out if you want food or something. The place doesn't block street noise very well and I think there is some machine on the roof, I keep hearing a whirring noise upstairs. The noise isn't coming from the fridge or air con. It is overall fine if the cons aren't a big deal. The location makes up for it."
