All staff were very helpful and friendly when requests were made. Hotel public areas and rooms were very clean and the room was well fitted out. The booking process for breakfasts could have been better explained by possibly an information sheet in the room, similarly tea / coffee facilities in the room would be a welcome addition. Minor issues that never spoiled our stay but worth mentioning. Would stay at Hotel Giotto again and recommend to others.

Sleepless in Padua
Shower tray in bathroom cracked in several places, needs replacing. Arrived feeling very tired after travelling overnight so needed to sleep, cleaning staff at hotel were determined to stop us sleeping despite do not disturb notice, ringing buzzer, knocking on door and finally getting reception to ring us, this happened twice over our 4 day stay!! Is it illegal to have a lie in in Italy?

A lovely hotel in a beautiful city
A very nice hotel in a good location for walking the city. First of all Padua is a fantastic city. The hotel is modern with lots of art everywhere. The rooms were clean and spacious. WiFi was good. The bathroom was very nice and the breakfast was perfect with a good assortment of breakfast foods. We loved the city and Giotto Hotel was one of our favorite hotels during our 3 week vacation in Italy. I can be picky but I have to say there was nothing I didn’t like about this hotel.

Very nice affordable hotel, conveniently located close to the city centre and main tourist attractions. I have stayed here many times when visiting the hospital on business and have always had a comfortable stay and been warmly welcomed.

Near the Basilica
Staff are immensely helpful going above and beyond to help. Last year when the lock jammed on my case the young receptionist Alberto spent an age trying to free it. This year I needed to obtain information and he researched it . Breakfast is reasonably priced and a good choice. 5 minutes walk from the Basilica

Very basic hotel. Staff very friendly. Breakfast is a bit expensive for what you get. Lots of mildew in the shower. WiFi was wide open without password so it was not very secure. The best restaurant in town is located 2 buildings from the hotel. The Restorante Pizzeria PonteCorvo. The hotel price was good for what you get.

Pleasant hotel at a good location
We picked Hotel Giotto almost by chance but were very pleased with our choice. The room was well appointed and convenient, the staff helpful and the location was great. We would gladly go there again on a future trip to Padova.

Wonderful and helpful staff
Our room was very clean and the amenities were plentiful. We looked forward every morning to be greeted by the wonderful staff. Breakfast was plentiful with a variety of breakfast choices with pleasant staff members serving you the coffee of your choice; expresso,etc. The hotel is in a perfect location with views of St. Anthony's Bascilica. Close by and walking distance were restaurants, beauty salons, clothing stores ,grocery stores and many tourist sights.

University City
A University city where we saw Giottos frescoes and an excellent tour of the first Anatomy theatre in the second oldest University in the world. Everyone rides bicycles, markets and shopping were fabulous.

Giotto at its best!
I visited Padova during May 2015 with a vey clear purpose: enjoy Arena Chapel and the Baptistery and rest. Hotel Giotto offered me the peaceful and quite place I needed to rejuvenate and reconnect with beauty, art and myself. The room and private bathroom was pleasant, clean, unpretentious and just right.

Basic European pensione. Although the television and AC did not work when I checked in, the reception clerk/concierge very quickly was able to re-set these and it was not a problem at all. (It was a fuse issue, I think.) The hotel was surprisingly quiet given its location and the breakfast was amazing --far more choice and options than I expected for a continental breakfast. I would stay here again.

We stayed in a twin room that was a decent size. It was very clean and a good sized bathroom. The location was very good - within easy walking distance to the main part of the town - but beware of the cyclists !!

The hotel was well located for the old town and the university hospital. The single room was adequate size with a good bathroom. Internet access was free and reliable. There is no restaurant but a nice buffet breakfast.

Reasonably priced hotel in a good location
Overall I was fairly satisfied with my stay at the hotel Giotto. The room was a single, and though small was very clean and included a decent sized ensuite bathroom and a minibar. The shower worked, and there was no shortage of hot water, but because the bottom of the cubcle was improperly sealed water would slowly spread onto the bathroom floor. The TV was not working, but wireless internet (free to guests) was provided and the signal was good - until they changed the security code without telling anyone! Breakfast was provided, consisting of the usual continental buffet, and was of reasonable quality. The staff were very friendly and most spoke at least some English. Access to the room was by keycard, and the reception desk was manned 24 hours so there was no problem staying out late. Check-in and check-out was quick and easy. Considering the rate I paid, this hotel was very much as expected and I would happily stay there again.

Decent experience
I'll start with the positives first. The hotel is very cute and the rooms are spacious and extremely clean. The hotel is about .8 km from the city center so it's an easy walk to restaurants and shopping. There are also 3 restaurants right on the same block, which is extremely convenient if you're traveling by yourself and prefer to be close by after dark. The breakfast is great, and the breakfast staff is very nice and will graciously make you a fresh coffee. The big negatives to me were the beds and pillows (hard as rocks!) and the front desk staff. The man who worked in the mornings was the exception and was very friendly and helped me navigate the city buses. However, the man who worked in the afternoons was extremely rude, and the man who worked evenings was not very helpful. I forgot my power adapter (don't do this in Padova!!) and actually ended up going to the Hotel Maritan (owned by the same people) for assistance since I was getting nothing from the afternoon or evening front desk employees. They were very nice at the Hotel Maritan and called me a cab to a Best Buy-like store so I could purchase an adapter. When I come to Padova next month for work, I will probably stay there.

Nice location but i wouldnt stay there again
We had to live in a room with a shared bathroom which is very weird and hostel-like. Thank god the other room was empty, but it didn't feel good. The hotel is very plain, nothing interesting about it. Their location and free parking are a big plus though.
