"Only there for a night. The host/manager could have done a better job explaining how to get there, instead of simply suggesting to use Waze maps! Also, they are building a new house at the bottom of the property, so it's a little dangerous having to walk thru a construction site to get to the beach down below. "We loved Casa Verapaz. The caretaker Alfonso was great and communication with Julio was excellent. The views from the living area are truly breathtaking and accommodations are wonderful. Santa Catarina Palopó is a short walk down the hill and is a great little village. Our boys played soccer with the locals there and we bought fresh tortillas for breakfast. The tuk tuk ride to Pana was easy and affordable. If you are noise sensitive, know that the structure is shared so some noise does drift in...
