"The parking lot could be improved. It was more a construction site than an actual parking lot, but that doesn't take away really from the experience, just a minor thing to note. Overall very happy with my experience. The space met my simple needs. Recommended if you're looking for a simple place to stay. Proximity to Rockaway Beach is great!"

The owner was prompt and professional with all of our questions and requests and went out of the way to ensure our comfort. "Negatives: The room is so small it was hard to use the desk. So small there was no table to eat on. Had a broken toilet seat that was the wrong size. Images on line made the space look more luxurious. Positives: The room was very clean. The building is reasonably secure. The workout gym is amazing. "Listing was not as advertised, in an unsafe neighborhood, requested separate rental agreement (which would be fine) but an additional requirement for card documentation for their file, implying a duplicate charge. When I tried to cancel our 5 night stay (online, via phone, and through email) after nearly being accosted by 3 strangers upon our entry, I was immediately denied and told 'no refund', 'can't cancel' and 'its not known (locally) as a safe place'. Ridiculously poor customer service...

"As soon as I walked in the smoke alarm was beeping so I had to contact the host and wait for that to be fixed. Then I went to take a hot shower and relax….. no hot water. And I’m talking the water was ice cold. Contacted and they came to look at it. The man went into the bathroom with the shower on and shut the door. Then told me to use warm water I needed to turn the knob all the way to the right (where it’s cold and about to shut off). That was the solution… They were prompt and helped with...
