"Wir hatten einen traumhaften Aufenthalt. Wir sind mit 2 Kindern gereist und unsere Gastgeberin hat uns dauerhaft das Gefühl gegeben, dass wir willkommen sind und den Kindern Schwimmtiere aufgeblasen und das lebendige Spielen und Toben der Kinder im Pool war für sie völlig in Ordnung. Sie ist so eine herzliche Dame, die sich sehr liebevoll um uns und die sehr gepflegte Unterkunft gekümmert hat. Sehr gerne wieder."

"Excellent breakfast, and free bottled still & sparkling water available at all times. The names of the rooms are very misleading. We booked a superior twin room. We questioned whether indeed we had been allocated the correct room, and were told that we had.The room was very small and no tea & coffee making facilities. A very basic room. However. it had a good size bathroom with a nice walk in shower. It also had a small balcony with 1 chair. We enquired about the next category up - "Privilege" room for our next stay in Hameln. This is a bigger room & does include tea & coffee and bathrobes. But alot more expensive. If you don't mind a smallish room and don't think "superior" just normal, this hotel is located conveniently in walking distance of the town (through the park). And to reiterate the breakfast is really good and the free supply of drinking water was very much appreciated. Especially as we stayed during a heatwave >38°. NB There isn't any air-conditioning in the hotel. But very few hotels in Hameln have air-conditioning. The breakfast staff were excellent and friendly and the majority of the receptionists were friendly. But one of the younger female receptions was quite surly. We didn't see or use the sauna or swimming pool."

"Prima Ferienwohnung! Endlich eine, bei der überhaupt keine Treppen zu überwinden sind. Wir konnten den Elektro-Rollstuhl gut unterbringen.Am Anfang haben wir gefroren, aber dank des Kamins, in dem wir ordentlich Holz verheizt haben - Nachschub bekamen wir in der Nähe beim Sägewerk - wurde es bald gemütlich warm. Wir haben zusammen kochen und in schöner Runde an einem großen Tisch essen können, sind gewandert und haben Städte in der Nähe besucht. Unsere drei Autos hatten genug Parkplätze zur Verfügung. In der Küche haben wir nur ein Abtropfsieb für Nudelwasser, einen echten Backofen (eine Mikrowelle mit Überbacken-Funktion ist vorhanden), ein Tiefkühlfach im Kühlschrank und Glasbretter zum Schneiden vermisst, ansonsten war alles da. Der Fernseher hatte zwar keinen Empfang für normale Programme, aber er konnte alles, was wir brauchten: Streamen vom Laptop oder Handy für die Fotos des Tages, Anschluss für HDMI, USB usw. vorhanden, über WLAN klappte das gut, wir konnten sogar einmal die Tagesschau über die Mediathek aufrufen. Handtücher hatten wir genug, jede/r konnte sich eine Farbe aussuchen, Brötchen bestellen und einkaufen konnten wir bei Nah und Gut ganz in der Nähe. Die Ottensteiner sind sehr nett und hilfsbereit. Und nachts herrscht dort eine unglaubliche Ruhe! Das kennen wir als Großstädter so gar nicht. Den Garten konnten wir leider kaum nutzen wegen des vielen Regens, aber in der letzten Nacht war es sogar sternklar und schön dunkel. Klare Empfehlung!"
